We had the good fortune of connecting with LeRoy McLaurin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi LeRoy, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
Yes i do for the last 16 yrs of my life I’ve lived by the quote “I Been Walking” This quote reminds me that I set a goal for myself in life and no matter the outcome i must keep going. People say you must crawl before you walk. Well I’ve done that and i can ensure as long as I keep walking and stay focus I’ll get to the TOP! I like the fact that I’m blessed to motivate myself to keep going and this quote has done that every step of the way through ups and downs, set backs, and obstacles that have tried to get in the way. 

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My styling is simple and unique. When it comes to fashion I think the individual is the product at all times. That person must feel confident and comfortable. What sets me apart from others who mostly focus on what the model is wearing, how much it cost, whose the designer, etc. Yea thats all good but how does that person feel. I’m grateful for the moments I’ve been able to create with my clients and definitely excited about what the future has in store for me and my business. Being dedicated and focus has allowed me to stay in the ring and not allow anything to get in my way of my own success. It hasn’t been easy and I don’t think it ever will. In this industry of work there is always someone working just as hard as you. My path is my path and i can’t detour from my path. I found out years ago that I’m my only competition. Which also taught me that there is room for everyone. So with that I stay in my lane and recognize that it want always be me but make sure I stay true to myself and do what’s best for me and my brand. If you can learn anything from me I stand firm in knowing that my lane is my lane and everyone want like how i style or want to work with me and thats ok. I remember “I BEEN WALKING”

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well I love to have a good time and enjoy living my best life. So if my friends were here for a weeks time. The party will go as such: Sunday Funday- Piedmont Parn and 10st Bars and of course lunch at Joes on Juniper Monday- Is a relax day maybe lunch at Buckhead Cafe with a night of entertainment with The Stars of the Century at “The Hertic” Tuesday- Taco Tuesday and Tequilas at my place with close friends, #FUNNIGHT Wednesday- ITS HUMP DAY!!! Wasted Wednesdays 😂😂 Thursday- We be tour day. Explore some of Atlantas main attractions- Centennial Park,Midtown, Shops of Buckhead, Botanical Gardens. Just a day full of fun. Friday- Would enjoy a day of mountain climbing at the beautiful Stone Mountain Park Saturday: THE TURN UP i mean literally bar hop all night lol 😂 Bulldogs, Edgewood Bars, Midtown Moon. Marquette Social Club #TURNUP

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would first like to give honor to my Lord and savior for blessing me with the gifts I have. Without him none of the things I do are possible. So about 7 years ago my mentor Antwain Hill approached me with a vision to open The Stampede School of Modeling which created an outlet for upcoming models to learn the basics of modeling and the ability to create art behind a lens and on the runway. I was excited to be apart of this vision because I knew in my heart the gift I had and where this opportunity could take me.
