Meet Lei Renee | Artist and Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lei Renee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lei, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started realizing that my art was more than just a talent, it was a calling. I saw my creative expression as a way to connect with others, tell stories, and inspire change. This clarity gave me the courage to step into entrepreneurship, knowing that my gifts were meant to be shared widely.

Instead of waiting for opportunities to come to me, I decided to create them by storytelling, branding, and community building.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My path wasn’t easy. I faced challenges like financial instability, lack of resources, self-doubt, and the difficulties of navigating unfamiliar people and places.

I leaned into those obstacles instead of running from them. Each setback was seen not as a roadblock but as a setup for a comeback. I found ways to learn, pivot, and adapt while keeping my eye on my purpose.

I want the world to know that I wear purple because purple is power that doesn’t have to shout. It’s royalty with edge, femininity with fire, and softness that I can still set boundaries with.
To me, purple is the color of survival, rebirth, and elevation. Purple is my energy. I’m Da Chic Wit Da Purple!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I were to take a week long trip somewhere it would definitely be somewhere out of the country to try different food! If I’m in the area i definitely would go to Apex Social in Marietta! It’s a kitchen, bar and lounge! They have dope music, and the food? Hits every time. I host karaoke there every Sunday. Pull up, sing your heart out, and vibe with me!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
