We had the good fortune of connecting with Lee Miles and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lee, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I am the definition of a true Gemini, I’m multitalented in many ways, From Fashion, Food, cutting hair, enjoying growing my own foods or just being able to create in whatever way. I don’t think I choose to pursue a creative career path because it’s just who I am & how I like to express myself. Expressing myself in whatever way that allows me to feel free to do whatever & create whatever is what makes me me. I’m the biggest example of I can do it myself

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Having being born & raised in rural South , Mississippi to be exact close enough to Louisiana. Southern hospitality & soul food is what’s in my blood everything else that follows is just a bridge between. Everything about food that I love and enjoy. I’m excited to continue to grow learn more about different cultures, and flavors. I started baking & cooking as young as 8. As I got older food became more of a thing that I saw & was able to utilize to help cover extra activities while in high school, business has never been easy but since it’s what I love and enjoy I continue to learn from mistakes to help me learn, improve & grow. I want the world to know that no matter what you go through if you keep going, & don’t give up on yourself then you can make progress & anything is possible

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I haven’t been in Atlanta long enough necessarily to have a favorite spot. I’m a very simple person & I enjoy the outdoors a lot so some of my go to places include Stone Mountain, & Piedmont Park on any given weekend it’s an awesome spot to go and enjoy the park or go to local spots in the area. Also the BeltLine is another favorite spot of mine. Renting bikes or the scooters for some scenery is my type of things to do. Culinary Dropout has some of the best food that I’ve had this year from a restaurant. Small & to the point menu so I had a great experience there

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Being raised by mostly women, loosing my father at a young age I didn’t have male guidance so I’d like to shoutout both of my mothers who both instilled valuable life lessons not only but also my grandmother! Those 3 women all combined taught me resilience , respect, survival. Love, & the most important of them all to honor god & prayer! My entire life has been filled with obstacles but the strength of these 3 women are the reason that I’m able to still continue my journey towards my goals in life. Seeing my mom work day in & out tirelessly, & still able to take care of themselves & my siblings took more than strength. Now as an adult looking back on my childhood I know that nothing is easy without the hard work, I learned from the best, so shout out to both my moms & my grandmother
