Hi Lee, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
When it comes to risk there’s a special group of people that understand that where there is no risk there is no growth. There’s a well-known quote that says something like ‘nothing grows in your comfort zone’ and it is so true. Unfortunately a lot of us have been raised to “play it safe” or “seek comfort”, but not realizing how nothing extraordinary happens playing it safe or seeking comfort. There are plenty of people that have dreams that they don’t have the actual faith to believe they can accomplish it. Risk is where the magic happens. The role taking risks played in my life and my career has been being a major confidence booster, especially during this time of quarantine and pandemic. This is a very unique time we have never seen before, yet so many have increased creatively and have grown in the things they have desired to pursue. During this time I have capitalized off of risk tremendously and let me say it is paying off! Taking risks have not only increased my confidence, but has increased my ability to act quicker on the ideas and visions that are in my heart. Life before taking risks had me sitting on ideas and concepts for years! Not producing anything because I wanted to play it safe, because I didn’t want to be the first to do it. If we really think about it, no one that we deem great was able to become great without taking risks. I just want to encourage those reading this to take the risk, it maybe your one decision to step out of your comfort zone that will change history!

What should our readers know about your business?
The Lee Salter Creative Firm provides both men and women with creative directing, wardrobe styling, photography/videography for business branding purposes and creative campaigns, in addition to creative branding consulting. I specialize in wardrobe styling and creative directing, overseeing the creative processes and giving guidance to clients and the creative people that assist me. I am most proud of the company’s ability to transition from providing minimal services to a whole variety of services that assist entrepreneurs on their branding journey. What sets The Lee Salter Creative Firm apart is our ability to think outside the box fearlessly and empowering our clients to reach their highest potential without apology. Excellence is the foundation of The Lee Salter Creative Firm. There were lots of struggles along the way, but My main struggle on this journey of entrepreneurship was maintaining momentum even when situations did not look favorable for my business. I struggled to keep my emotions out of trying to grow a business, but there’s this quote that says “Stay out of your feelings, there’s no money in there!” I keep that quote posted before me and it changes my perspective immediately. Building a brand and growing a business can cause you to take things personal when things don’t go as planned, but I’ve learned to keep the business, business and the personal, personal. What I want the world to know about me, my brand and my story is that change is constant. As time goes by so does life change. I want myself, my brand and my story to ever evolve into it’s Best form. What you see now is only going to get greater as time progresses.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to shoutout my amazing little family! My husband and daughter definitely deserve credit and recognition for helping me get where I am now. My husband is one of my biggest cheerleaders, any new concept or idea I have he never makes me feel like I can’t achieve it. He constantly reminds me who I am when I seem to forget and constantly encourages me to “Go Big or Go Home!” My beautiful daughter is my shadow and she is the number one reminder that I cannot quit my journey. I am paving the trail for her to effortlessly blaze! She recently started her own YouTube channel “Charleigh’s World TV” I’m so proud of her.
