We had the good fortune of connecting with LeAsia Leach-Thompson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi LeAsia, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
My business’s entire foundation is based on helping the world! By helping others become the best version of themselves they are able to show up exactly how they were designed to and that will in turn help impact everyone around them including the world! Imagine if we do not fill our cup and how that may affect the entire family dynamic. By continuing to be in a state of fear, exhaustion, hurt, anger, or bitterness we are not able to thrive in the way that we were destined to thrive and in turn many people will not reap the benefits of you showing up the way you need to. Essentially the basis is to learn how to show up for yourself so that you can show up for others which will ultimately impact the world by your unique gifts and talents coming into fruition through this process that we offer here at Life Changing Missions!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Life Changing Missions was founded for exactly what the title stands for. We are here to change lives by helping individuals navigate through their struggles and come up with action plans to move forward to become the best version of self and to change their lives for the better!
The reason I am so excited about this journey is because I know the importance of serving others and how it will produce great outcomes for the world. It is so fulfilling to see someone implement their plans and transform their lives right in front of your eyes. To know that you were a part of that transformation does something to the soul!!
To become an entrepreneur and pursue this journey I have had to go through the same processes that I am asking the people that I work with to go through. Through that process I have gained so much confidence and freedom which further motivates me to help others do the same for themselves. The journey is not easy at all and showing up for yourself can come with a lot of emotional breakthroughs, acceptance and forgiveness however despite the challenge of doing this, it is so worth it! I want everyone to know that we are entitled to mental freedom and the opportunity to chase our dreams!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We are definitely going to the city center to explore all of the typical spots that most tourists would check out just so that they can add that to the list of things encountered. Always have to see what the hype was all about 🙂 So first stop would be Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial and Civil rights museum. We would then check out his home and church to really get motivated by the advances our society has been making!
I would then take them out for lunch at the SunDial restaurant just for the experience of course.
After that we will continue to explore by stopping by the Centennial Olympic Park, perhaps hopping on the Skyview Ferris Wheel!
After that we will probably head to the SkyLounge to enjoy the view and some drinks until the evening and then head to a comedy show at Uptown Comedy Corner to wrap the night up!
Now that sounds like a fun filled day to me here in ATL!
After that, I would be spontaneous and explore different hidden gems around the city. I would definitely be hitting up Slutty Vegan, Just Add Honey Tea Company, Tassili’s raw reality cafe, and so much more. We would probably visit the BeltLine and explore the different places there. Overall, I would promote a good time and would want them to soak up the empowerment of diversity and the successful, flourishing black owned business that are often hard to find elsewhere.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would first like to thank my relationship with GOD and my higher power! It wasn’t until I started connecting to my Spirit that I was able to unlock my ambition and desire to do what I am doing. I would also like to thank my amazing husband for always supporting me the way he does. He never fails to stand right by my side no matter what the venture is and for that I can not be thankful enough. He also challenges me and understands how to help push me out of my comfort zone due to his desire to see our growth together and never being complacent.
Shoutout to all of the people that I am connected to whether it is big or small.. Your presence in my life is meaningful and teaches me something about life daily.
