We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Laura, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Photography, social media and content creation is something I’ve been doing for quite a while, and in a beginning, I could only work for others ever since I couldn’t afford my own equipment, but working for others means two things; giving them your ideas so you watch their business grow or not being able to develop your ideas because they feel like they don’t match their concept so I decided I had enough of the “I can’t afford” and changed to “I’ll do what I can with whatever I have” and ever since I’ve been photoshooting and creating content

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve always liked taking pics of anything, pics and videos, and then I feel like I have to do something with it, that’s actually why I started working for other studios as editor. But being the one who takes the photo or the video it’s another level experience, because from the second I’m in the place, I know what I wanna see, how I’m gonna edit it, I feel like I can’t wait to turn everything I have on my mind into a real thing. Lately I’ve been thinking about sell my landscapes, though most of the times I do portraits

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Anywhere on RiverStreet just in love with the view from the rooftops
