We had the good fortune of connecting with Latrisha McArn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Latrisha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My step dad and I had always talked about having a food truck one day, but when the pandemic hit it forced me to think of other ways to think outside the box as far as extra ways to bring income in while everything was shut down.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
When you think egg rollz everyone thinks about your classic cabbage rollz. With my business i get to take your everyday egg roll and jazz it up! I have everything from my bacon cheeseburger egg rollz to peach cobbler egg rollz!

Covid gave me the push i needed to walk out on faith because it was either now or never. I started from my brothers kitchen to now traveling with equipment to different states for different functions. It hasn’t always been easy because I’m still working towards my ultimate goal of owning a food truck, but it’s been more than worth it!

A few lessons that I’ve learned is that people don’t always have your best interest at heart when it comes to your business, you have to keep yourself motivated even when things are not moving as fast as you think they should. And never doubt yourself, always have faith in your business and abilities!

I would like the world to know that my food tells a story of my family, my culture, and the love i have for family and food!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
All of my friends know I’m an outdoors person, so if they were to visit our week would be full of museum hopping, atvs, cookouts and watching movies on the projector screen on the front porch

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family, i come from a blended family. I had the pleasure of being blessed with 2 dads, my mom, all my siblings and grandparents. All of my egg rollz are special to me because they’re all named after someone important in my life that has helped mold me into the person i am today.
