We had the good fortune of connecting with LaToya Reece and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi LaToya, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’m reminded of a time when I was homeless and living on the streets 6 years ago. the loneliness, and emptiness I felt, feeling broken, nearly destroyed. I remember asking God, why do you keep me here? to be nearly ripped apart? I was so angry… Then suddenly I felt a warm sensation all over my body, this was the first time I felt so much comfort, and peace in years. I made a decision then to make God the center of everything. while helping as many as he allowed to get to their new beginning, and purpose!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Although I wear many hats, I also consider myself a Spiritual Midwife, I assist in the birthing of your purpose. I help faith-based women and men overcome past trauma, crippling depression, unsolicited rejection, and low self-esteem learn how to take back their rightful place in Gods kingdom, return to the excellence and brilliance they were created for, and remove the roadblocks to their blessings and increases. Coming from a place of homelessness both as an adolescent and adult, domestic abuse, and rejection (by both parents) I understand firsthand how challenging it can be to break free, without someone(s) to assist you along the way. If it were not for those placed in my path during my transition, I am not sure where I would be today. through it all, I have accomplished my Bachelors degree, completion of my workbook Return to Queenology, Radio Personality and Host of The Orchard Show. My desire is to do the will of the Father while assisting in straightening other Kings and Queens crowns!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Showing my friends a good time is easy in Birmingham Alabama! We would certainly attend Perfect Note, they are known for their food and live music, Stardome for a little comedy, Top Golf for a little competitive golf time, and My home for a little R&R with cocktails and my favorite MA souse The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to thank Monique Lisa, Delano Johnson (Refuse to Live Talented & Broke), Calvary Resurrections Christian Center, Lady SayDat, and Jeanette Simmons for assisting me with pushing my vision forward! I am humbled with the level of love and care given during my time of transition.
