We had the good fortune of connecting with LaTosha Humphrey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi LaTosha, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?

Growing up, I’ve always craved an outlet to express who I am. We tend to get caught up in what society wants us to be or what our parents want us to be but then you reach a point where you have to ask yourself, ‘What makes me happy?’
Creativity is something I’m born with not a pursuit; I just make it more of a priority now.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Kreative Krafts HQ is a representation of my creativity and passion for crafting and designing. It is an art form that anyone can tap into.

My brand is a constant reminder that this company is bigger than I can imagine. My options are limitless and because of that, I now understand that it is okay to reinvent yourself, your brand and your products or services.

Admiring the finished product motivates me to continue on creating; reading the loving and supportive comments left on my social media encourages me as well.

The pandemic really helped pushed my business in a way that is unbelievable. I wanted to use my gifts in a way that was beneficial and not just a luxury so I started making face masks. The support was overwhelmingly good!

I believe anything that happens fast does not last so everyday I am growing and learning professionally and on a personal level. My advice to anyone is to never stop learning, do not be afraid to make mistakes but learn from them and continue to blossom. Also, always follow your heart, remain true to yourself and keep God first.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Day one: So my bestie is in town and I want to show her a good time. The first thing we would do is go to a salon for a manicure and pedicure. Kim’s nails are one of the best in town. Then we would go out for lunch at Newks for a soup and salad. There after, we will go to the Albany Mall to do some shopping and have drinks later at Los Vaqueros.

Day two: The next day, we would go downtown to support some of the local boutiques and restaurants. Then we will catch a movie at AMC. After, we will hang out at the pool located at her hotel.

Day three: We will visit Radium Springs, have lunch at Brothers, then visit the Thornateeska for some education on history & science plus to see the railcar display & planetarium.

Day four: We are having breakfast at Eggs Up, going to Cheehaw Park and Frozen for some frozen yogurt.

Day five: We are taking a trip to Oasis Day Spa, Fun Park for some bowling and go cart riding, a visit to RiverQuarium, Livi and Company for some shopping and Harvest Moon for music and food.

Day six: We will hang out at the hotel Country Inn and Suites, have a Netflix and chill moment before she departs.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The gifts that I am blessed with are to edify God.

I am truly thankful for the teachers I had during art class, home economics where I first learned how to crochet, summer camps that showed me the beauty in nature along with Georgia’s rich history and seven wonders, Culinary Arts school where I learned the meaning of terms such as Mise en place and of course all of the life lessons growing up in my city, Albany Georgia.

Thank you to my mother, father (may he rest on) and siblings who all did the best that they knew how to instill discipline, responsibility and creativity within me. I also want to send a special thank you to my amazingly supportive and talented husband. You are the absolute best!
