We had the good fortune of connecting with LaTasha Woods and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi LaTasha, what do you want people to remember about you?
I want my legacy be that I positively impacted the lives of others. I lived a life of character and faith. I want people to remember that I wanted to always add value to others, leaving them better than when I was introduced to them.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart from others is that I’m passionate about everything I do. Everything starts with the heart. It helps me connect with others.
I’m most excited about becoming a self published Author. This platform allows me to deliver messages that inspire and educate. It allows me to represent for my gender, and race. To show those coming up behind me that they can do it too. My first book, “Top Draft Pick,” is a short fiction romance novel. It shows your path is specific to you and it’s ok if it looks a little different than anyone else’s. It doesn’t lessen your value. My recently published book is “Dollars and $ense; Financial Literacy for Kids. Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, recently signed into law a bill requiring students to take a course in financial literacy. Georgia is the 13th state to mandate financial education for students. It’s so important for all of us to reach back and ensure we start the children in our communities, at a young age. I’m also, a health coach, and once I started improving my own health, I felt compelled to help others break generational curses and learn how to take better care of themselves.
My journey hasn’t been without mistakes, but the key is to find the lesson in everything and learn from it. I overcame challenges by prayer, and not staying down when I fall.
Lessons I learned along the way is always be a student. Education comes in many ways, whether it’s formal, reading, or learning through the experience of others. I learned networking is key in life. Who you surround yourself with can have a huge impact on your life, negative or positive. I learned success in all aspects of life, is not a loner sport. You need others, in this thing called life.
I want others to know that although my story hasn’t been a perfect one, it pushed me to greater things and everything works out for our good, in the end. Every person and experience, has had a purpose in my journey. I appreciate it all.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When my friends are visiting, our itinerary stays flexible and open to everything. We have a great time no matter what we do or where we are.
Not only is there a lot to do in Atlanta, but the food is great! I have introduced them to my favorite brunch spot, so usually that is always on our agenda, The Real Milk & Honey.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shout out to my family. I had/have amazing grandparents/great grandparents that always instilled in me at a young age, the gift of prayer and that led me to be a God fearing woman,
My entire village that consists of parents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Siblings, Friends, etc…..deserves recognition in my story because I have always been able to see examples of hard workers, great work ethic, love, and a passion of serving others.
