We had the good fortune of connecting with Larry Lambert II and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Larry, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting Uncle Bubz Beats was to set up the best representation for myself and future.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Born in Philadelphia circa 1991, I started playing drums and piano at the tender age of 3. At the age of 8, I became the music director for the Youth Choir at Victory Community Baptist Church and started playing the saxophone at the age of 10. At that time, I also started
traveling and performing with my mother when she would sing at other churches. In my later years, I
attended Girard Academic Music School for high school, and attended Morehouse University on
a band scholarship.

After leaving college I became a working musician, touring with corporate bands, jam sessions, and playing for Musiq Soulchild, Kenny Lattimore, and Angie Stone. He
started his own band, The Larry Lambert Project at the age of 20 recording his first jazz EP, “Just
Wanna Play”.

After some time spent in Atlanta performing with artists, I moved back to Philly to learn more about the music scene there. After becoming acclimated there, I recorded my second EP, “23”, where the legendary producer, Steve McKey, engineered and played
the drums. Steve would host jam sessions and invite other artists and musicians to be featured. In
2018, I got a call to play piano for Summer Walker which then led me to move back to Atlanta
and become her music director. Since my return to Atlanta, I havw toured with Ella Mai, Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg, India Shawn, Baby Rose and performed with Lauryn Hill, Babyface, Deonte Hitchcock, and Playboi Carti. Currently still serving as Summer Walker’s music director
and living in Atlanta with his 4 year old daughter and fiance. I am anticipating the releasing of Volume 3 of Uncle Bubz Beats featuring many talented artists and musicians

One thing I’ve learned along the way is to stay to consistent and focused and working on my character more than the talent.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my bestfriend was visiting Atlanta we would go hoop, grab a bite eat and later check out the legendary magic city
