We had the good fortune of connecting with Larry Citgo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Larry, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process on creating “Chase It To Get Out Entertainment LLC.” was to make opportunities for others like myself to express their artistic talent and navigate their way out of their struggle. I come from the small town of Far Rockaway, Queens, NY. where there isn’t much stars to wish upon. It started as just a rap music dream until my lack of resources developed my ability to do tasks other than rap. My hunger for success taught me how to mix vocals, edit music videos, stay marketable, build awareness, and whole lot of other skills I’m proud of. With seeing how much hard work I’ve been putting in over the years, I just wanted to make it easier for someone like me. From music and films to books and seminars, I pursue to have an abundant of doors waiting and opened for aspiring talents.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m proud of my tenacity and determination to withstand the course throughout the trials and tribulations that I have overcame. I’m excited to see what’s next on this rollercoaster and pleased to see where I came from. I’ll be lying if I said it was easy. There were a lot of sacrifices along the road. I lost a lot of friends and missed out on the “fun” to lock in on my dreams. I have no regrets because everything happens for a reason and everything is paying out. I invested in my dreams not a bottle in a club. There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes that people aren’t aware of. As growing as an artist, I had to also grow as a man. There aren’t anybody passing the keys and giving out the answers. I had to get everything out the mud. I learned how lonely it could get and everybody haves a different paths. There will be a fork in the road, where you might have to choose the road less traveled. I have no problem with that because the goal is to get out. That’s the point of my brand “Chase It To Get Out”. The “it” could be anything. The idea is to purse your passion and get out of your circumstances. Where I’m from there isn’t much and a lot people could say the same. I just want to install the faith that it is possible. I literally came from. nothing but I’m turn it into something. I’m tired of seeing us lose when we could all win. I wasn’t granted all the opportunities that I desired but I aspire to open doors for others.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well I just moved out to Atlanta fairly recently and I’m still finding out the hot spots out here. Finding where to go out to really depends on the vibes. In general, I would enjoy interactive activities. A day out paint balling and go karting would be competitive but fun. I went atv riding out here a few times, that was always fun as well. If I’m out with the fellas we have to hit the Atlanta clubs though. Last time we was out we went to “Chic Restaurant & Lounge” and it was popping. I’m not too much of a drinker so I don’t have any ideal drink. I do want to go to Kingston’s Caribbean Restaurant to try that coco bread, mac and cheese plus oxtail beef patty. Sounds great. I heard “Joystick Gamebar” is litt too. It’s like an adult arcade center with a drinking bar and also be hosting comedy shows. That sounds a great time out that you could enjoy with anybody.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There so much people I could shoutout for their impact in my life and where I am today but a person I would give thanks to is my little brother, James. I always wanted to be a phenomenal role model for him. My little brother has always been there and supporting my dreams. He’s there when I need to vent, expresses constructive criticism when I need it, elaborate on ideas, and performs any task big or small. Outside of my mom and God, I know he somebody I could call on. He seen the vision from day one and never made me feel like he didn’t believe in. He seen my late nights working on a project barely eating for days. Most of the videos you see of me on the internet he recorded them. Before any decision I make I run it through little bro. Things will still get done for sure, but it wouldn’t be the same without James.
