Meet LaQuinte Brinson | Coach Q

We had the good fortune of connecting with LaQuinte Brinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi LaQuinte, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
Other than making the decision to become an entrepreneur, the most important decision that I have made that has contributed to my success has been taking control of my narrative. Becoming an entrepreneur is a wonderful thing, but it’s all the decisions thereafter that really contribute to my overall success. Taking control of my narrative meant leaving what was familiar, not taking everyone’s advice, and betting on myself. My company “Academy of Visions” is all about taking your life, vision, and business to the next level. I know the statistics surrounding black women and entrepreneurship, I know about the difficulties when it comes to investors. However, I couldn’t allow the narratives of others to control my narrative. Making the decision to control my narrative has afforded me the opportunity to live freely.

What should our readers know about your business?
Academy Of Visions is an online Academy that I launched to help individuals to take their life, ideas, and business to the next level. As a certified coach who specializes in personal and professional development, I believe that is necessary to not only provide a safe space for individuals to open up about their challenges, dreams, and aspirations. I also am passionate about providing resources to help my clients get to the next level. I can recall the challenges I faced when I started my first business The Break-Up, LLC in 2013, therefore I wanted my clients to have a better experience so that they can avoid mistakes and achieve their goals without unnecessary setbacks.
Getting to where I am today, took a ton of work, astronomical faith, and astounding support. The process hasn’t been easy, I’ve had to juggle a full-time job and a business simultaneously. I’ve had to put out more money than I was bringing in at times. I’ve had to push through uncertainty and fear. However, I wouldn’t trade the process for anything. The process has led me to become a full-time entrepreneur. It has built my character and most importantly it has strengthened my faith. My greatest lesson has been that every adversity that I have encountered was necessary for where I am today. I am optimistic that there are so many more great things in store for me and my business.
I want the world to know that the Academy Of Visions is here to help assist them in becoming. Authors, entrepreneurs, leaders, coaches, and overall better human beings in this world.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As a resident of Atlanta GA, there is always plenty to do in the city. However, I love a relaxed environment. I love going to Piedmont park to read a great book on the lawn. I love visiting the Ponce City market, great shops, food, and a dope environment. And of course, I love a good Falcons game at the Mercedez Benz Stadium.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Without my support system, none of this would be possible. There are moments when I am feeling unsure of myself, it’s such a blessing to have a circle of friends and family that reminds me of my greatness when I am not feeling great. Entrepreneurship is about taking leaps. My support system has encouraged me through every leap, fall, and success. I am forever grateful.
