We had the good fortune of connecting with Lansing Goodwin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lansing, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m from Raleigh, North Carolina. At a young age I moved down to Georgia, and living there provided multiple aspects and perspectives on life and helped me shape my mind to where I am right now.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Starting out as a rapper was me going through a really dark place with a break up, and I couldn’t often find the right words to talk about it. Music has always been something I have been passionate about and at 13 years old it was how I expressed myself and talked about my feelings.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend visited the area I would take them to see the high art museum in Atlanta. After that I would 100% have to take them to eat at Savage Pizza. Then, I would walk the streets with my friends and show them some of the really cool stores in Atlanta, my all time favorite was Criminal Records.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a huge thank you to the artists that have helped me to where I am now. Lil Tombstone, ZG, Matt98 and Cordell Rich have both influenced me and helped me reach where I am today.
