We had the good fortune of connecting with LaNisha B. and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi LaNisha, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
When I think of work-life balance, an overwhelming sense of perfectionism often creeps in. As a mom who wears many hats, the stress of trying to juggle it all can take a serious toll. But the truth is, balance isn’t about controlling every detail—it’s about surrender. I’ve learned that I have to let go of that false sense of control and entrust every aspect of my life to our Heavenly Father, the Great I AM. He is who He is, and He is in control.

We often associate balance with peace, but have you ever stopped to ask yourself: What is true peace? And how do we obtain it? The answer is simple—peace comes from one source: Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace.

Finding balance means seeking first the Kingdom of God. It means surrendering every part of ourselves to Him and tuning into His guidance. Sometimes, the key to balance is letting go—letting go of the things that don’t serve God’s will and purpose for our lives. When we shift our perspective in this way, balance and peace begin to flow naturally.

That doesn’t mean we won’t have moments of overwhelm. There will still be days when our to-do lists feel endless. But it’s in those very moments that we must choose to let go and let God build perseverance and endurance within us. As James 1:4 reminds us:

“Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

Over time, my understanding of balance has transformed. It’s no longer about obsessing over “getting it all done.” Instead, it’s about allowing God to work in me—so that I can move through each day with peace, no matter what’s on my list.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart is the unique blend of roles I carry—faith-based homeschooling mother, dancer and choreographer for God, entrepreneur, and content creator. My life’s work isn’t just about teaching, performing, or building a brand; it’s about ministry, impact, and creating spaces where people feel seen & uplifted.

I’m most proud of the way God has allowed me to merge my passions with my purpose. I went from being a professional dancer in the industry to using my gifts to spread the gospel that welcomes and nurtures others. On top of that, I get to homeschool my children and build a brand that aligns with my values. That’s something I never take for granted.

Getting here hasn’t been easy. There have been moments of, doubt, financial struggles, feeling loss and the constant challenge of balancing motherhood, business, and ministry. But through it all, I’ve learned that surrendering control to God is the only way to truly move forward. Every challenge has strengthened my faith, refined my vision, and shown me the power of perseverance.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that success isn’t measured by worldly standards but by obedience to God’s calling. When I stopped striving for perfection and started trusting Him fully, doors began to open that I never could have imagined.

What I want the world to know about my story and my brand is that it’s all rooted in faith, family, and purpose. Whether through dance, education, or content creation, my goal is to inspire, uplift, and encourage others to walk boldly in their God-given gifts. I want people to know that you can honor God in your work, build something meaningful, and still prioritize the things that truly matter—your faith, your family, and your purpose.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting Atlanta, I’d make sure their trip was filled with adventure, creativity, and meaningful experiences. Atlanta has so much to offer, from incredible food spots and live music to outdoor adventures and artistic escapes. Whether it’s hiking at sunrise, dancing in a class, exploring the city’s rich culture, or just enjoying deep conversations over a great meal, I’d tailor everything to what they love.

For thrill-seekers, we’d find something exciting like roller coasters or indoor skydiving. If they’re into art, we’d hit up museums, paint sessions, or explore the city’s vibrant street murals. For relaxation, we’d enjoy a spa day or unwind at a scenic park. And, of course, we’d end the trip with worship and reflection, keeping God at the center of it all.

Ultimately, my goal would be to make sure my friend left feeling refreshed, inspired, and filled with joy—because that’s the kind of experience I’d want someone to create for me!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, I have to give all thanks and praise to God. He knows me better than I know myself and has a greater purpose for my life. He orchestrates the relationships I need to guide me toward His plan, surrounding me with the right people at the right time.

My heart overflows with gratitude, and my list of thank-yous is truly endless. But at the core of it all, I give thanks to the Almighty—because every beautiful soul in my life is there by His design.

That said, I have to take a moment to personally thank a few: my amazing husband in Christ, my children, my family—both immediate and extended, including my incredible in-laws. To my friends, every single person who has ever stepped into one of my dance classes, engaged with my content, and to every teacher and mentor who has poured into me—thank you. Your love and support mean more than words can express. You have blessed my life in ways beyond what you may ever realize!
