We had the good fortune of connecting with Lady Raw and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lady, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
The ultimate end goal is to empower and support inspiring artists like myself in their journey towards success. By the end of my career I envision creating a comprehensive platform that provides artist with the knowledge and resources they need to understand the business side of the industry.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
What sets me apart from others is my unique sound and my commitment towards my music. What I am most proud of is how far I’ve come with the music. I am where I am today because I kept my faith and never let anything or anyone stop me from being successful. It’s never easy it’s always bumps in the road but I’ve always overcome my challenges by keeping my head on straight and focusing on what’s really important at that moment. I’ve learned to take constructive criticism and to never take anything personal it’s all business. I want the world to know that I take my music career seriously and that I hope my story can help out other artists that’s trying to succeed.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was coming down to visit me in Savannah first place we will go is down town on river street view the river front and hang out. If we were to go grab something to eat depending on the mood we would probably go to Sorry Charlie’s, Ruth Chris, or Lady’s and Sons. My favorite spots to go and have a drink is FatTuesday’s, Wet Willie’s or any bar downtown is fine with me. But if we were just hanging out for the day a nice scroll in the pooler area would definitely be our go to.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I will like to shoutout a few people first and foremost I will like to give a shoutout to my manager/mom for always believing in me and always supporting me when it came down to my music. Second I want to give a shoutout to my label in New York City “Bentley Records” for giving me a chance. Third I will like to give a shoutout to my kids, my family and all my supporters/fans y’all keep me going I just want to thank you guys for supporting me all these year’s.
