We had the good fortune of connecting with Kysha Knox-Scott and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kysha, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
My balance has evolved through the years due to my ability to recognize the importance of finding balance daily. At times this was frustrating but the balance became easier to achieve over time. I am always cognizant of my inner compass which determines the best approach to achieving balance.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have been a marketing professional for nearly 15 years. My ability to recognize marketing opportunities in all situations is what sets me apart from others. As my career has evolved, my approach to marketing has as well. My current professional space is a culmination of hard work, mentorship and taking chances. It was not always easy there are always challenges, however I have learned to evolve and approach those challenges verses letting the challenges get the best of me. The biggest lesson a good reputation is more valuable than money. Your reputation is built on the foundation of your character; it entails the words you speak and the actions you take. Take care of your character above all other things and your reputation will take care of itself.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The trip would begin with brunch at 5 Church Buckhead, then we would travel north to explore the various wineries beginning with Chateau Elan, then farther north to Montaluce Winery and the city of Helen for a view of its German themed architecture and variety of desserts. Once we have completed our North Georgia tour we would spend the day having tea at the St. Regis before spending the remainder of the day at the wonderful onsite spa. The Garden Room would be the ideal spot for drink and light bites. Lastly a tour of the busiest and most efficient airport Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International would be the culmination of the visit.
