Meet Kyra Addison: Owner of KyDee, Content Creator, and Mentor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kyra Addison and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kyra, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I would hands up say the most important factor behind my personal success and success of my brand (KyDee) would be my faith and trust in God. I was a believer of Jesus Christ since I was a kid; however, it was not until I got older when I established my own personal relationship. Through the establishing of our relationship, I was cultivated in ways like no other. In the past, I lived a life that seemed to be as if I was going through the motions. I had yet to discover my purpose, but I knew deep down I had a strong desire to help others no matter what it looked like. It is because of Him that I am able to create and establish a brand that touches the lives of many. I do not try to box myself anymore because I serve a God who can do exceedingly abundantly above all that I can ask or think. 

What should our readers know about your business?
KyDee is a topnotch source for high-quality lip gloss, lip liners, and eyebrow pomade that is vegan and cruelty-free. The slogan at KyDee is “Embrace who you were. Love who you are.” Everyone experiences trials and tribulations; however, these circumstances should be embraced to move towards a more positive and testimonial future. I am excited about spreading the goodness of the Lord through KyDee and my YouTube channel, Peculiar Addison. I was able to get this far because of El Shaddai. The road was not easy, but I am grateful for every moment. This road I am on has developed character and endurance. I have learned throughout this journey that I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Also, I have learned that I cannot make excuses for myself. Me and my brand have made an impact throughout the US with hopes of motivating and encouraging everyone through self-esteem, confidence, and perseverance.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am always down for doing things that are unavailable in my hometown. Topgolf is a place where you can eat good and just overall have a good time. From the missed swings to the balls hit, the laughter and experience is one of a kind.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Wow! I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to:

1. The LORD– Thank you LORD for my purpose, calling, and gifts. I am so grateful for the trials and tribulations I have experienced. I thank you for your love, grace, and mercy. Thank you for revealing my anchor (Proverbs 3:5-6).

2. My Parents and Immediate Family – Jimmy, Tracey, Johnathan, Dezare, Teresa, Jalicia, and Jayla. You all have supported me throughout this journey by helping me with everyday life while trying to balance school and work as an adult. Those shares mean so much to me! Jayla keeps me going with the “colors”.
