We had the good fortune of connecting with KymBerli Dee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi KymBerli, how does your business help the community?
My business is totally geared toward inspiring talented people to follow their dreams. I do my best to impact my community by using my own talents and gifts, to show others that their talent is important and needed too. We all have a purpose and the ultimate goal is to follow your dreams, no matter what.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a neo soul, trap soul and R&b recording artist and I feel what sets me apart is that I’m not afraid to tap into my true creativity, especially when I write my songs. I’m not afraid or apologetic about using certain lyrics to express myself, fully. I’m extremely excited about my latest single, F**k Everybody, which talks about just being alone and not wanting to be surrounded by negativity. This single was very personal to me because when I wrote the song, I was in a place where I wanted to just focus on me and what I’m supposed to be doing in my life. I know those that hear it will be able to relate. Getting where I am today was definitely not easy and it took passion and drive! I constantly researched the next open door to perform and to spread my message. I overcame the challenges by staying focused and constantly reminding myself why I’m here and remembering my late mother’s words, “Always Trust God!” My faith kept me going. I have learned to keep my circle small and only surround myself with like minded people, who want the same things that I want. I want the world to know that I stand firm on giving your all to your craft and vision! I am here to show the world that my story is to inspire, encourage and to create music that anyone can relate to.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So I love my city and I would take my friend to Little Five Points and we’d go shopping at the Junkman’s Daughter. We would also hang out at The Spot in Decatur for a night out and have drinks. Then we would go to SixFlags for some thrill rides and fun! Lastly, we would go have dinner at the Peach Cobbler cafe for some southern cuisine.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’m thankful for the team of people that have definitely helped me in my success. I want to shout out Trippa K of HitMajorz Association, India Hines of Love 860 Radio Station and Michael Rosenfield of Sonic Sun Studio.
