Meet Kylee Greiner: Portrait, Fashion & Wedding Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kylee Greiner and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kylee, how do you define success?
Success is such a broad word that can be interpreted in many different ways. The world often views success as making a lot of money, or owning expensive things. Although I believe success stems from how many people you positively impact and how your actions and decisions can make a difference in the world around you. I want to leave this earth knowing that I spread as much love, kindness, and peace as I possibly could. It is my goal, through my art, to help each and every one of my clients love themselves in a way they hadn’t before, if I do this I feel I will have been successful. It has been beautiful to see how photography can achieve this goal.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m all together inspired by love, emotion, and the most unique moments in life, striving to capture all that through portrait, fashion, wedding and travel photography. I am obsessed with candid moments that tell a personal or unique story. I am so inspired by how photography captures people in a light they might not otherwise have seen themselves in, and this beautiful side of photography is what ignites my passion for the art. Professionally, the photography industry is tough to infiltrate, seeing that it is heavily saturated with thousands of talent artists. This makes it evermore challenging to stand out and appear unique. Although, I have always made it a priority to stay true to photographing the subjects I am passionate about capturing. Additionally, I am always striving to be consistent by editing with a style individual to me. I am proud of how I have continued to pursue those goals for my business, even though at times it hasn’t brought me as much financial success. I have overcome some of these difficulties of being a professional photographer by following what I know is my journey and working at not comparing my work to those in the same industry. I have learned that the more an artist continues to be uniquely themselves, people will love their work and be drawn to their organic passion. It is my hope that people will see natural beauty in my photos that capture love, emotion and personality.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The best of Atlanta in a week is not an easy task as there is so much to see and visit. Although, if I was to plan the perfect trip for a friend I would say the adventure needs to start in the city. Ponce City Market, Atlanta’s Belt-line and Krog Street Market, are some of my go-to places to hit in Midtown. They have some of the tastiest food spots and cutest shopping and are always bustling with people and excitement. The Belt-line has tons of cute spots for photo-ops and is always a fan favorite walk through some of the most beautiful parts of the city, so this would be a must. Of course the GA Aquarium and World of Coke are awesome for first time visitors, so going here would also be a fun day trip into the city! Wrapping up a weekend in the city with a trip to the High Museum and lunch at Piedmont Park is one of my personal favorites as well. I am from Peachtree City, which is about 45 minutes south of Atlanta. Peachtree City is home to over a hundred miles of recreational golf cart paths that lead all around town. Walmart trips become an adventure when you get to ride there on a golf cart! Riding around town on a cart is a must do when visiting because of all the quintessential activities to be explored. Lake Peachtree is the perfect spot to chill out and have a refreshing lake day with friends, I would definitely make a stop there with some floats and a picnic!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The art community in Columbus, GA is one of the most supportive, uplifting group of artists. I lived in Columbus for about two years and found myself almost instantly connected to the community of artists that lives within the city. Everything from events, art shows and galleries are available to the public as well as artists. These opportunities allow small artists to publicise their work in a very unique way. People like Trey Walker and Tony Pettis are two artists local to Columbus, who have both inspired and taught me what it is like to be a successful, supportive artist. Trey featured some of my work in one of his photography shows, and introduced me to some incredible opportunities within the community. I am so thankful for his support and encouragement.
