Meet Kristy Ries | International Color Specialist & Stylist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristy Ries and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kristy, what do you want your legacy to be?
This is such a great question. First and foremost, I wouldn’t be here today without my Faith. It has certainly saved me, given me purpose and shaped me to be the person I am today. I have such a love for people. Seeing them and being able to relate and understand them. I believe it’s so important for us to encourage others by sharing our life experiences which can inspire others. We become so busy with day-to-day habits and patterns. The challenge is remembering to slow down and enjoy each moment as they happen. The gift that I aspire to leave others are peace and freedom by loving others well.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
One of my favorite things to do is to be able to accentuate the beauty that each individual already has. I know life can be busy and demanding. I love creating that unique look for each person. I get so excited about making others feel good about theirselves. I don’t think there is a color I don’t love or appreciate. It’s also fun doing a full transformation. I’ve been in this industry over 20 years and am privileged to have learned so many different styles. The opportunity to evolve with the always changing industry is so fun and exciting. I will always be grateful to find my talent at such a young age.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are so many wonderful areas. I love and enjoy walking around to the many boutiques, restaurants and live music. I am definitely partial to downtown Alpharetta. I love the atmosphere. It has such a vibrant community. All of the shops in downtown Alpharetta put so much effort in work into their community. They have great hospitality and it definitely shows! I also enjoy that it is a great place for everyone whether it’s with a friend or the entire family. The farmers market on Saturday mornings it’s definitely definitely something to experience.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have had the privilege of studying with so many different companies: loreal, aveda, Kerastase, redkin, Toni and Guy; to say a few and many others. There is truly so much talent and education in my industry. I am very passionate about my work and love the insights and inspiration that comes with being with others and allows me to be creative.
