Meet Kolawole Odumade: Videographer/ Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kolawole Odumade and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kolawole, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
How do you know whether to keep going or give up is a very underrated question. My answer is simply: You either want to be successful following your dreams or maybe this path is not for you. I’m from Atlanta, Ga, the west side to be exact and I’m Nigerian. So, my hustle for achieving things is top tier. If you give up that tells me you never really wanted to do it, it was a phase. So, to answer your question I don’t know how to give up because my hard work and dedication will be rewarded in due time.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’ve learn so much over the 6 years I have been filming and taking pictures. One gem for all the creator is that light plays a big role in everything we do. So make sure you learn about your lighting. I’ve changed my brand focus point so many times you’ll think I’m lost but I really just had to find my niche. Which is wedding videos, recap videos, promotional videos and short films. With photography I’m starting to do more studio shoots. What makes me stand out from everyone else is I treat my clients like we been knowing each other for years. I like to make connections. Work wise I’m a story teller. I’m great at making people thoughts become vivid. So if you don’t know exactly what you want I can brainstorm and produce something you’ll love and your followers. My challenges are real challenges but I always overcome them. I’ve move from Atlanta to Nashville so I had to start all the way over and im still able to have clients in Atlanta and here because my work ethic is impeccable. One thing I want the world to know is just because that person is popular doesn’t mean their work will match the energy you receive from them. I know a lot of talent artist but don’t have consistent clientele because their not “Popular”.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First spot we hitting is America Deli on Cascade, then cascade skating rink. My people already know how I am when I’m in the city. We definitely going to some lounges because my boy prepp is one of the hottest promoters in Atlanta. I would have to go bowling too. J R Crickets is another go to spot and blue flame for the wings 😂. We going to have ball. If you ever want to have fun link up with me.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shoutout my friend Justin. Not only because he’s my business partner but when it comes down to critiquing, he critiques my work hard and vice versa. We learn new things and teach each other things everyday. Help each other on shoots and more. I would’ve never been able to do any of this without my aunt Sheila. She bought me my first camera and always tell me when I make it, don’t forgot about her.
