We had the good fortune of connecting with Kita Boo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kita Boo, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is that it influences, motivates and inspires people all around the world to never give up on their dreams. It sets an example that shows that if you work hard and keep the Faith, all things are possible.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
K.B. Entertainment Inc. is an independent record label that was founded in 2008 and organized in 2012. What sets us apart is our authenticity, business standards and music creativity!

We are excited to bring “real music” back! Music that motivates, builds and uplifts people. We strive to create music that makes life feel fun, exciting, passionate, and energetic again!

Although my journey as an artist and business owner has not been easy, the lessons that I’ve learned led me to some of my greatest victories! My Faith became the fuel behind my visions and dreams. As challenges came along the way I learned how to flow with the fluctuations of life changes, remain calm/steady during those challenging times and always trust my spiritual intuition. I learned how to stay consistent and remain resilient, even when I didn’t see the results I wanted right away. I always worked hard and invested in my brand.

I want the world to know that K.B. Entertainment will be remembered as one of the world’s greatest and wealthiest record labels in music history! We will cultivate Superstars and open doors of opportunity to those who work hard, show integrity, possess a real authentic talent and thrive in the art of creating music!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a firm believer of “going with the flow”… I would definitely start with some good food! I would take them downtown for some good dining and just go from there. The itinerary would consist of great restaurants, shopping, a good lounge or bar, spa and some type of concert/ comedy show or sports game.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to first thank God for giving me the strength, wisdom and ability to achieve all of my dreams thus far. I am nothing without Him!

I would like to thank my parents for setting a solid foundation of both music and Faith in my life at a very young age, in which I was able to build my dreams upon. I also thank my Grandmother Shirley Garland for setting an example and showing me what the excellence of a true business woman looks like!

I look up to several world leaders and influencers, both past and present, such as Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Martin Luther King Jr, Tupac Shakur, Outkast, T.I, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Ice Cube, Denzel Washington, Dr. Cindy Trimm, Pastor Sarah & Toure Roberts and Bishop TD Jakes.
