We had the good fortune of connecting with Kisha Baez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kisha, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor in anyone’s success is believing in yourself. When all odds are against you, and you feel like it’s time to give up, that’s when you buckle down and grind it out.

Your breakthrough is always after you’ve gone through too much with a tumultuous storm, so if you can manage to get through that storm, you can manage to get that blessing that God has rewarded for you on the other side.

Another factor – stay true to yourself and remember that you cannot do this alone.

Everyone needs someone! In addition-you do not need a bunch of “Yes Men/Women”

You need people who are going to give you the honest truth and keep you grounded and focused.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I believe what set me apart from others are the trials and tribulations that I’ve experienced in life as well as my determination to be successful. I’m a very hard worker and when I set my mind on something I have to have it and make it work. Almost I am most excited about my children and my ability to continue to be great and push through adversity- a lot individuals give up along the road and I take pride in making it through and being strong. To overcome, you need a perseverance mentality-Pray and have faith. Also try to always put out good energy, never block your blessings. I want the world to see Me as an over comer and an inspirer; Someone who wants to see everyone, especially women WIN!! I want people to use me as an example when they feel like they can’t make it out.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well I’m from Denver. It’s a melting pot of people who have driven forward progress mentalities. I think First would catch an awesome show at the Ball Arena Center or a dope basketball game. Then some good food at Red Lobster, my favorite or Papa Deauxs. Check out some stores on the 16 th st. Mall- Then end the night on the roof at Viewhouse downtown.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shout out is dedicated to everyone in the world. Anyone who has been through a struggle -anyone who has lost a family member, anyone who has been a single mother, or father. Anyone who has had to raise grandchildren or family siblings anyone who has experienced trauma And abandonment and abuse, to all the broken members who have loved ones locked up, but they cannot see, do see,or will never get out. To all the people in the world who have experienced all the woes of life. This is for us.
