Hi Kinyatal, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
Isaiah 43:2 When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.

This scripture is my favorite quote. It has become the foundation of what I live daily. This scripture has unfolded before my eyes numerous times. My faith in God is who I am. I am the fire that he created through abuse, rape, divorce, depression, and anxiety. I love that God’s word has been active in my life. I’ve been through the deep waters of low self-esteem and walked through the rivers of lack of identity. I’ve walked through the fire of depression. In my lowest moment of battling suicidal thoughts, God did not allow me to drown, burn up, or be consumed. This is my promise from God that I stand on daily.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My creative art ministry is Thru the Fire Ministry (TTF). TTF is different because it uses art and entertainment to share the love of Christ. We create unique ministry moments using writing, acting, and music to inspire people to get to know God. I am most proud of the growth and expansion of the ministry. It started as a dance ministry. I would go to churches and teach youth liturgical dance. Now, we have events, publish books, and produce movies/stageplays. The foundation of TTF is instruction and application of the word of God. I give individuals informed insight and tools to make decisions, reach goals, or deal with problems in their personal or professional lives through scripture. TTF just celebrated ten years in ministry. I wouldn’t have thought that my desire to use my gifts would have opened up so many doors and opportunities. The key to TTF has been prayer. I overcome the challenges while leading a creative art ministry by keeping my ears next to God’s mouth. I live a lifestyle that continuously communicates with God. I seek God daily in the direction of Thru the Fire. A lesson I have learned is that things happen in season and time. I have been inspired and released a project outside of the time/season of God. The project was good, but if I would have waited it could have been amazing. I want the world to know that Thru the Fire is here to serve. We are available to teach worship workshops, life coaching, personalized skits, or motivational speaking.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend would visit. I would take them to Mustard Seed Cafe. We would eat French Toast or Hickory Smoke Turkey Swiss sandwich. The drink would be a Toasted Marshmallow Hot Latte’. The atmosphere is amazing. They have areas to play games and meet with groups. The next place I would take them would be Take the City for 47 Spot (Christian Lounge) to enjoy and socialize. Sweet Sadies Meats and Treats would be the last place I would take my friend. The owner Stacy Hall’s food is the best I have ever tasted. I would need to have a rib plate, punch, and strawberry crunch cupcake

I want to dedicate my shout-out to my children Brandon and Dj. The best title I hold is being your mother. I am so proud of you both. I love you.
