We had the good fortune of connecting with Kiauna Rome and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kiauna, what principle do you value most?
Keeping God first and remembering that He is the master behind all plans is what I value most. It keeps me honest and on a steady path. At times, it’s hard, especially when brand deals present themselves that don’t necessarily align with my values. However, I try to lean on the belief that more opportunities will come that align with what I feel God has called me to do with my platform. – ‘I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, ‘Ephesians 4:1

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a content creator and influencer who focuses on all things fashion and occasionally dabbles in lifestyle. My platform is deeply rooted in the work God is doing in my life, so I strive to be as honest as possible to help others connect. I try to lead with love in everything I do.

My platform gained traction almost overnight after two viral videos landed me on the For You page. Since then, it has been about maintaining momentum, growing my audience, and securing brand deals while keeping my numbers steady. It hasn’t been easy, as I’ve had to trust that God would make things happen in His timing while also having confidence in myself to keep going. At times, I still struggle, but I try to overcome this by reminding myself that I have a voice, a talent, and a message that someone needs to hear.

I often tell myself, ‘Kiauna, somebody needs to hear what you have to say, or they need fashion inspiration, and sometimes you need it for yourself, so put it out there and step into it.’ Along the way, I’ve learned that consistency is key, and that faith without works is truly dead. Just post and go—you never know what God can do. And let me tell you, He can do a lot with a little.

I want the world to see a story when they see me—a little Black girl from Mayflower, AR, striving to do her best, to be honest, and to share her testimony, the good, the bad, and the in-between. But most importantly, I want people to see the light. I want people to know that I am trying to live for God and shine His light. I want it to radiate from me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We’re going straight to FolkArt to grab breakfast, then heading to the Beltline to people-watch and check out all the murals. After some time walking and taking in the sights, we might grab lunch at Hops Chicken in Ponce or head to Krog for some lunch at Superica! From there, we’re heading home to freshen up before meeting at Serena Pastificio for dinner—but we’re not done yet! After that, we’ll take a short drive over to Drawbar to cap off the night!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Obviously the big dog upstairs (My main man God), My mom or as I like to call her Kesh’, cousin Kal, best friend Kabriya aka Claireese.
