We had the good fortune of connecting with Khalia K, and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Khalia, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Ella Allure Skin is a skincare brand that helps people who have dry skin, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin and more. Our products are developed with vegan ingredients such as butters and essential oils to make your skin feel fresh and renewed. We push for corrective skincare, but we also thrive on self-care. Skincare and self-care go hand-in-hand to make you feel amazing. Self care is important for your physical and mental state. Ella Allure Skin wants more people to feel good about their skin and feel beautiful. We all live busy lives and sometimes self care gets pushed to the side. We want to push the narrative of self care to everyone who encounters our brand to encourage people to take the proper steps towards being the best version of YOU! In the future, we also plan on expanding our product line. Subscribe to our email list to be the first to know about new products and other VIP news!
What should our readers know about your business?
Ella Allure Skin stands apart from other businesses because in addition to providing great products, we also encourage our audience to build their confidence through self-care. My focus on physical and mental self-care is inspired by my experience working as a medical assistant and esthetician. That was when I noticed how simple actions such as eating a healthy meal or exercising could have a huge positive impact on someone’s daily life. Self-care isn’t a luxury – it’s a priority, and this is the message I try to promote through my brand.

I’m proud of the audience I’ve built for Ella Allure Skin. Most of my followers and customers have become really devoted to self-care, and to see them grow in this respect is beautiful. I genuinely believe that finding true fulfillment through self-care, as we promote at Ella Allure Skin, can lead our customers to a healthy, prosperous life.

My dream is to continue growing Ella Allure Skin to spread this message to even more people. And as Ella Allure Skin grows, I want our supporters to grow as well. That’s why I created the ambassador program to give people the opportunity to grow as individuals and with Ella Allure Skin. This company started as a passion project, based on my love for self-care and product development, and after a lot of tears and hard work, it has grown into a strong brand. Now, I want to give back to the people who have supported me along the way through this ambassador program.

We have grown a lot since my early days of making face masks out of bananas and turmeric before starting my journey as an esthetician and eventually a business owner, but it took a lot of trials and tribulations to get to this point. I’ve always been optimistic, so when something wasn’t going to plan, I would just remind myself that everything will work out. Still, I have to do a lot of daily self-affirmations to keep it all together.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I were spending a weekend with my friends in Atlanta, I would definitely go to Illuminarium during the day. This is a virtual wildlife experience that showcases the beauty of the world’s most exotic animals in their natural habitats, and it just opened in 2021, so it’s a must-visit. I’m all for a nice meal and cocktail, so after this experience, I would head over to Fade + Facet. Not only is the food great, but it’s also a great place for pictures and entertainment. You can catch a great vibe there. If I wanted to do a more upscale restaurant, I would check out The Sun Dial Restaurant, Bar & View. This restaurant is on the 73rd floor of the Westin Peachtree Hotel, and it has floor-to-ceiling windows with amazing views! If you were looking for soul food, like a nice home cooked meal I would say Big Daddy’s is my favorite for soul food. There’s so much to do in Atlanta, and my friends and I would have a great time no matter where we went.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am thankful for God for giving me the courage to keep me going despite of any obstacles I faced. I want to give credit to every supportive family member and friend who has given me advice and love along the way. I want to thank them for understanding my vision and never judging me. I want to also give special and extra credit to Sydney and Ron for their everlasting support. They have made raising my son Omari and running a business go smoothly for me and I owe them the highest gratitude for the amount of love and support they have given me. My wonderful friends Majik and Taylor has given me much support since since the very beginning. Majik has modeled for Ella Allure Skin and purchased from the business multiple times, I love her for that! It’s hard getting people to support you in the beginning, Majik and Taylor had no problem supporting. My son Omari and my little brother Larry give me the most encouragement because I know they need me, and I work hard to make sure they are happy and safe.
