Hi Keyonna, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Being consistent played a major part into my success. There’s not a day that goes by where I do not post about my business on one of the many social media pages. I decided to get a few Brand Ambassadors to help me push my brand and reach more social media accounts and surprisingly it did work.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart from others is my drive and my dedication. I never thought i’d be selling hair. When I was in high school I always wanted to be a OBGYN; I pictured that for myself for many years. One day I just woke up wanting something different for myself. I was motivated by the idea of working for myself, putting myself on my own working schedule, and most importantly being the boss of me. I started business back in 2018 and barely had any sales. There were months when I went with no sales! I promoted so much and still people rarely supported my business even when I tried to do giveaways. It was discouraging, and many times I wanted to give up and go back to working a 9 to 5 because that was guaranteed money. I was a Young Single mom who just wanted to make ends meet and give her child the world. I knew I couldn’t let it make me quit. I stopped promoting my business in the middle of 2020 to sit back and focus on what my business needed. I realized I wasn’t doing something right with my business; it needed a major change/upgrade. During those months I was “out of business” I was doing research; finding new/better hair vendors than before, learning how to market my brand, working hard to find the followers, get my website up and running, and everything else that represents my brand. I noticed when you treat your business like a priority you will see results, you will see change and progress. From the very first day i launched March 23,2018 up until the middle of the year in 2020 Krowned Kluxe Collection LLC had never made over 5,000 in a single year. Here we are in December of 2021; in the Single month of october my business reached a little over 7 thousand for the month alone. Since the relaunch March 27,2021 i’ve made about 35,000 in a 9month span. That’s not alot compared to other major brands, but for me it is. It shows my growth and it lets me know I’m on the right track with how I’m running my business. I was able to quit my 9 to 5, and surprisingly i’ve stayed afloat. I make enough to pay my bills, spoil my kids and myself and still live comfortably. I’m only 25 , just imagine when i’m 30 how big Krowned Kluxe Collection LLC will be.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were still alive and I was able to take her anywhere in my city, the first stop would be the Galleria. a huge 3 story high end mall with an ice skating rink inside. She loved getting cute and going out, so what’s better than getting fly and going out in Houston? This city probably is the best city in the world, not only is it LIT but it will elevate your living and your opportunities! It’s always something to do, we could go downtown and ride the scooters. Even take a trip to the aquarium, the zoo, 6 flags, water parks. and many more around houston. Let’s talk about clubs, boy did she love to go out and have some fun! unfortunately she passed away due to an unforeseen situation she was unaware of before I moved to Houston. I wish I could show her the life in living and have her living it with me.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My child’s father definitely deserves a lot of recognition on my success. He pushed me to get my business of the ground. He stayed up late night with me brainstorming ideas on my relaunch that I had in March. He also give me 9,300 to put towards my brand and inventory. He still til this day helps me with anything I need towards my business, the support is undeniable! Without him i don’t know where I would be with Krowned Kluxe Collection. I told him when my Brand becomes a Million Dollar Brand he can get whatever he wants from me because he’s the start of it all. I could never repay him for the generational wealth he’s help me create for our kids and grandkids. I thank him so much.
