We had the good fortune of connecting with Keyerra Green and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Keyerra, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was creating generational wealth and financial freedom for my family and I. I’ve always wanted to experience living life to the fullest extent without finances being a heavy burden. Spending time with family, and having the ability to move and do things freely are my biggest motivators.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The thing that sets me apart from others is my authenticity, my ability to see a vision and bring it into reality in my own unique way, and the creative edge that I put on my ideas. The thing that I am most proud of about myself is my ability to stay true to who I am at my core. I don’t allow the world to change me or others expectations of me. I am most excited about putting my creative ideas out into the world because I know a lot of people can relate to me, my story and some of the things that I’ve overcome. I wouldn’t say that I’ve had one of the roughest journeys, but I will say that it wasn’t easy and it wasn’t given. To get to where I am today it took a lot of sleepless nights, tears, times of being doubted and overlooked. Majority of the challenges that I faced were mental and how I viewed the world and myself. One of the most significant lessons that I’ve learned is to trust the process and enjoy the present moment. Most of the time we rush the journey because we want to get to the end and what we don’t realize is nothing is going to be the same in the end. We’re gonna lose people that we love and it’s places that we’re never gonna see again and we don’t take the time to appreciate the things that are present because we’re so focused on where we want to be and we don’t realize that nothing is going to be the same once we finally get there. What I want the world to know about me is that I was once a young girl that came from a small town with big dreams. No one in my family had dreamed as big as I have and I’ve never known anyone personally to do the things that I have set out to do so it made my journey much more being in a place of walking in the unknown.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
To eat, I would go to knife and order the surf and turf, fried lobster and a New York strip steak. For drinks I would go to Copper Cove and I will order the salmon and broccoli. I would stop by Lenox mall and shop because it has some of my favorite stores. In my view some of the most exciting people live in Midtown and Buckhead. It’s always something to do, easy to find fun and places to hang out.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First i give all glory to my creator. My parents Norman and Elouise, my 4 siblings … my sister Danielle being a major highlight, my aunt Martha, my uncle Bob, my cousin Michael and my friends .
