We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin Salas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kevin, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Deep connection with our clients showing our food, our flavors and big smile because we do not “sell items”, we “give what we are”.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
GUSTOCK International Market – Deli & Bakery is a family owned and operated business. We opened on 2023 after years working with markets and restaurants. It was not easy to start in an unknown country and is NOT easy today but we really love what we do and what we are, which is what we share with our clients. The face and words of gratitude from Venezuelans and non-Venezuelans keep us with energy!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
SUNDAY – Church and GUSTOCK International Market for bread, empanadas, cachitos and groceries in our physical store
MONDAY – Downtown Woodstock Walk
TUESDAY – Dulce Artisan Gelato in Woodstock
WEDNESDAY – GUSTOCK International Market for bread, treats, drinks and other groceries in our physical store
THURDAY – Amicalola Falls State Park
FRIDAY – REFORMATION Brewery in Woodstock
SATURDAY – Farmer Market at Woodstock for arepas, empanadas and cachitos in our booth.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First VENEZUELA, the Country that gave me, my family and to many others the most amazing time, education and love; Second, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, the Country that is giving us an opportunity to grow and share what we are with pride.
