Meet Kevin Jerome | World travel & serial entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin Jerome and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kevin, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to be in control of my options and separate myself from 99% of the people in my life. Where I grew up family wise, my siblings and I were looked down upon and not considered as studious as our cousins. I knew that at some point when we were all adults thinking outside of the mindset of a follower, it would help me elevate myself to a point where I was accustomed to adjusting to new things over time while they were stuck considering why they weren’t succeeding. So I took that thought process and used it to begin taking my time back meaning now longer trading hours for dollars and simply trading better for better

What should our readers know about your business?
We run a mobile detailing business in which we service our clients at there homes, businesses or there job locations without interrupting there day. We can do everything from a simple wash to a buff and paint correction job. We work on cars, boats and rv’s in the water or out of the water.
I got to the area where I am not through the benefits of business associates who knew I was already in the vending world and gave me an opportunity to distribute commercial grade hand and hard surface sanitizer to the masses during the beginning of the pandemic. With the proceeds i then purchased my initial equipment and items for Obsidian Lux Detailing.
Was it easy? It was initially due to fears of concerning how people may react to me being in mobile detailing and dealing with customers in a service environment. It caused me to really look into how to do detailing correctly and understand hot just how to work the business but also how to run a operational business’s

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The first place we are going to bright and early would be Buttermilk Kirchen on Roswell Road in Buckhead. The food there is second to none and there mimosas are pretty strong! After brunch, I’m headed to the battery in vinings so we can have a few options to eat and drink but we are ultimately ending up at Goldbergs Fine foods. They have $2 mimosas which you can’t beat and there food and service is excellent and so is there coffee. After that I would go down a list of places to eat daily. Barcelona, Tuk Tuk, Papi’s Cuban restaurant, slutty vegan, New Realm, Yakitori Jinbei. For deserts I’m heading to Jeni’s ice cream. For a good hangout spot I’m headed to Gypsy Kitchen and then we are going to Iman park to relax and finish our day at Beetlecat for food and drinks. Once we are done eating and exploring, we are going to enjoy and relax at Jeju Sauna for the remainder of the day

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Would like to give a shout-out to a few books that really helped alter and anchor my train of thought. The first being Think and Grow Rich. Changed my perspective on the laws of how many and wealth move in the universe. The Laws of Human by Robert Greene. helped me understand what we go through on a daily basis as individuals that we all think we experience all by ourselves. I also want to give out a shout out to Shavard Branam, Rock Foreman and Fred Hill for helping me grow into a young man with the right mindset on life
