We had the good fortune of connecting with Keshawna Pritchett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Keshawna, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting my own business was not only a way to create generational wealth but to bring an affordable all-natural luxury candle company to the world. It all started with my self-care routine where I would run a nice hot bath and surround the tub with candles, rose petals and a glass of wine. Through research and development, I found that curating candles was a more daunting task than anticipated. There is a very intricate formula that must be executed to ensure a candle performs properly. I decided on 10 scents to launch with that are categorize into different profiles such as gourmand, woody, citrus, floral and exotic. My mission is to be your handcrafted company of choice and provide high quality products with enticing scents for your intimate spaces.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets me apart from others is my ability to create luxury products at affordable prices. From the designs, packaging, and scents I strive to give each customer an unforgettable experience they will never forget. When purchasing a Sugar Luxe Candle, each order is designed to embody a luxury gift. I am most proud of the growing support from customers and the feedback I receive on my candles. Having a business is a never-ending cycle of growth and learning. I want the world to know that although there are many candle companies out there, Sugar Luxe Candle Co is a handmade eco friendly luxury brand.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would suggest going to Malibu or Palos Verdes to see the beautiful ocean views. I highly recommend going to eat at Crustaceans in Beverly Hills.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Most importantly I have to thank God for navigating my path and blessing me with an idealistic mindset. My loved ones have been an undeniable influence during this beautiful journey. They’ve celebrated my achievements and showed tremendous support.
