We had the good fortune of connecting with Kerven Lebrun and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kerven, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
The amount of work and focus needed on a daily basis…. Being in a creative mood equal being surrounded with the right people and to be in the right environment…. So i have to pick very carefully my surroundings and sometimes my emotions depending on what subject i am writing on. In Haiti, there are not lots of platforms for creatives who talk with the heart of things…But for me it’s all about the process and enjoying it..

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am very proud of what I’ve accomplished so far mostly putting out my first EP …..Ive been singing, writing and acting around Haiti and meeting different people and artists so this EP was years of inspiration from the people i met along the way…I never make excuses despite the lack of safety and stability where i live i kept cooking hoping there will be a light at the end of the tunnel… i want my brand to be all about love and empathy …..we need to heal mentally as people

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I don’t believe in planification when it comes to vacation or visiting a new city …..I’m a very spontaneous person but I’d for sure take them to Cap Haitien since it’s more stable right now, Definitely we would go to Cadrasse and Ile À Rat. To my favorite restaurants and Cap Haitien, Boukanye and Foli’s. Since my friend owns a tourism company “Ayiti Booking” i would make him do all the plans especially sleeping, food, and transportation.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First of all i would like to thank my family for supporting me from the beginning and also the people i met along the way who helped me understand who I am and also shaping my artistic POV im talking about konbitay & Gwolobo and all the other people who supports me everyday
