We had the good fortune of connecting with Kerry Marshall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kerry, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
One thing about my industry that most people are unaware of is the amount of work it takes in order to be successful. It’s more than just music it’s networking. It’s politics, the mental anguish and emotional maturity you must possess. It’s not really discuss they’re talked about in my industry.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
How I got to where I’m at today was a lot of hard work a lot of disappointment a lot of faith and a lot of opportunity. I started my journey years ago when I moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue music at the highest level while out there I met a lot of obstacles and challenges. In 2017 I met my first business partner, Sonya and we started the inception of my online Guitar community called Kerry’s Kamp which has students worldwide. We’ve become the number one R&B site for learning how to play guitar through a lot of hard work diligence, and dedication. A lot of the challenges we overcame was from listening to our first 50 lifetime members and going back and revamping the material to ensure that it would reach the masses. What I want the world to know about our brand is this is a safe community in order to learn guitar at the highest level we understand that success looks different for everyone. We want to help each individual become successful by giving them the tools to play the way that they’ve always dreamed.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would suggest that they would go to the reunion tower. That way they can overlook the city have dinner and enjoy themselves. I would also suggest visiting the star they may not be into sports, but the rich history that you see at this facility is amazing.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to give a shout out to Sonya Ramsey, and Max Sadik. They are my business partners, which help and running the number one R&B site for learning how to play guitar. Without their expertise in their particular lanes, it is almost impossible to do my job and influence the guitar community worldwide.
