We had the good fortune of connecting with Keron Garraway and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Keron, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Before having a child, me and my wife would take random getaways at a moments notice, I would go to networking events, business dinners or have speaking engagements no matter the time or location I was there. Now that I’m a father, my priorities have definitely shifted towards my son. I find myself not wanting to be gone as much so that I can be around him, care for him and not miss those precious moments that I cannot get back. Growing up in a single parent household I know personally the effects of a father not being there, so refusing to allow that cycle to repeat itself is always my main goal. I see how my son watches and mimics me and it is mind blowing, heart warming and motivating all at the same time.
So as a business owner, a father and a husband a work life balance is now part of my everyday life and my time is more precious than ever. Achieving a work life balance isn’t always easy or convenient but knowing what’s at stake, the sacrifices and hard work will always be worth it.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My company is a residential and commercial inspection company for buyers and sellers of each type of real estate anywhere within the GA state lines. I perform mold testing, air quality testing, radon testing for all types of properties but I am best known for my ability to build relationships with people because of my professionalism and personality.

I am most proud of the journey that I have gone through to get here, coming from a small island in the West Indies and creating a company that is able to create jobs, opportunities and help others coming up in the industry. I feel I set myself apart in this industry by understanding that the industry is too large for any one inspection company to monopolize and take over so I have no problem sharing business techniques or passing on business to another inspector when I am not able to facilitate their needs. I am not greedy or selfish when it comes to doing business. I prefer alignment over effort because I will always go further by helping others get ahead instead of stepping on them trying to build myself up.

Understanding that the client always appreciates value over cost has helped me to become a better businessman. Meaning, I provide a thorough service, quality reports and leave my clients well informed about their purchase helps me to gain repeat business and earn the trust of my realtors.

There is no Inspection company like Garraway Property Inspections and we can’t wait to show you why!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Atlanta has too many options.

Brunch we’d go to breakfast at Barney’s
Lunch will be De One Roti Shop
Dinner will be Tribal Pot

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a big shoutout to Jaques Mountain of Dream Home Inspections for being and amazing teacher, mentor and business coach. He taught me how to do what I do today and how to build my business through his mentorship course. I would recommend anyone considering getting into the home field to go through Dream Home Inspection’s Inspector Course
