We had the good fortune of connecting with Keren Cajes-Ame and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Keren, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I have been in the Process Management field for quite some time and decided to offer this as a service to coaches and business owners. I would work on creating their business structure and SOPs, and even train their team to learn their new systems. I loved what I was doing. One client hired me to look for the best automation tool that would work for her and that’s how I found Dubsado. After exhausting hours of self-studying and trial & error, I was able to build her automated workflows from scratch. I realized that Dubsado setups are done as a standalone service by a few online entrepreneurs, and because I loved the process of creating automated workflows and the results it can bring to business owners, I took the leap and decided to use it as my main offer. What started as a one-time project of helping a client find the right tool for her biz has now become my bread and butter.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am a Process Manager and a Certified Dubsado Specialist with a mission of helping service providers streamline and automate their workflows using Dubsado. I used to handle my client’s business operations in general, but I decided to focus on Process Management because this area serves as the foundation for scaling. Your foundations have to be rock-solid in order to grow. I find extreme satisfaction when my clients are able to scale because someone has stabilized their processes.
It was not an easy journey to build this business, though. Being a Filipino freelancer, I got lowballed a lot. Clients looked at me as someone they can pay cheaper because I’m Asian. That affected my mindset and would often feel that I don’t deserve to run a scaling business. I also didn’t have the right guidance on how to create a business that aligns with my beliefs and goals.
I found help with I hired my business coach and invested in useful tools and programs that gave me clarity on how I can build a sustainable business. I had to overcome a lot of limiting beliefs and learned how to treat myself as a CEO regardless of how others view me. I surrounded myself with a community that respects each other regardless of our race, color, and background. I also made sure that I’m laser-focused on my goals to ensure I am managing my energy efficiently.
If there’s one thing that I want to share with my fellow entrepreneurs, it would be that every single experience you go through while building your business – be it positive or negative – shape you and turn you into a polished & refined CEO that can move mountains and make things happen.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout goes to my business coach, Mae of @maekithappen, and to my dear friend Diara of @sociallydiara. They both helped me build this business and showed me what’s possible when we go beyond our limits.
Shoutout to my most loyal supporter, my husband Dave, for always being there when I need to make business decisions, for providing clarity to ensure I am still on the path of achieving my main goal of building this business.
And of course, to my God who has been blessing and guiding us in every step we take in this entrepreneurial world.
