Meet Kenton Jackson | Actor, Personal Trainer, and Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kenton Jackson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kenton, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
It’s taught me that it doesn’t matter how good you think a audition is, you have to believe that it is your best and its what keeps you going. That confidence and believing in your performance reinforces me to keep making sure I give my best in every performance regardless of what my doubts may be.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets my art apart from others is that it is truly authentically from a core part of me. My art includes a variety of different things but as a whole it defines my story. It’s a piece of me that makes me myself and that isn’t easy to open up to people about. The challenges were just getting out of my own way and enjoying the process rather than trying to perfect the process.
I learned many differing lessons, like sometimes you just have to post or send that project you’ve been working on and see what happens and trust someone who needs to see it -will- see it.
The world needs to know that my brand and story is practically an anomaly in and of itself. I’m a unique person with a vast amount of skills that needs to be expressed to the world to see and heal, motivate, inspire, and push the next generation to dream big and not small. The story that I been through even complexes even myself and I’m the one experiencing it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My best friend comes over and we have a week long trip ahead of us.
Well my favorite place to go to eat and hang out just to catch up would be chipotle. It’s a nice place to just settle down and those wholesome bowls just makes my day as well.
For drinks we would go to a tea shop we can experience some relaxation after going out to play some kind of sport. I love dodgeball, soccer, football, basketball. I’m good at most of them but not a professional so it’ll be nice to have a little friendly competition.
There are a lot of places to hang out, be it the beltline, the piedmont park, or even going to watch a nice movie.
The most exciting fun, interesting places or things are places where there are activates, festivals, skating, ice skating, and if we’re lucky we’ll see some trendy or even indie band playing around Atlanta

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
In my story and opinion the next person I think deserves a shoutout in process to achieving my success would have to be my acting coach Michael Cole. Even though I’ve been in a tough spot for a while the emails he sends always puts a smile on my face and gets me motivated to keep going.
Not only that but also people like Chris Fizz who’s always working on a projects and Heng Theng who helped me set up my audition since 2018. They’ve all been helpful and supportive and I appreciate everything that they have done to get me this far already.
