We had the good fortune of connecting with Kenné Poles and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kenné, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson my business has taught me is to ‘never give up’. I know those three words may seem so simple but I will say its one of the hardest commitments when starting/running a business. Many people don’t know or understand the things that go on behind the scenes, they only see the ending results. As a business owner myself I run into problems literally everyday. What helps me is that I spend less time on the actually problem and focus on creating a solution. You have to be willing to keep going even when its a fast month as well as a slow month. Thats when most people quit because they think success happens over night and it doesn’t. People also get caught up with social media and start to compare others success/lifestyles to their own. You have to be willing to keep going even when people aren’t cheering you on, when you’re not getting the support you thought you would get especially from family and friends. You have to literally fall in love with the process and not allow anyone to take you off track. Everyone wont understand your vision and thats okay because its YOURS and not theirs. As long as you believe in you that is all that matters. I always ask people “How bad do you want it?” because if you want it as bad as you say you do, you will make a way even when there is no way.


Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I would say what sets me apart from others is my hunger, grind, dedication, and passion behind it all. I genuinely want to leave my mark on this earth and to allow as many children to have a FUN and KREATIVE experience here at Kids Kreate Art Program (KKAP). I also want to show them that if I can do it, so can they. It doesn’t matter where you come from or what your goals are in life but to always put in a 120% work ethic.

I am mostly proud of how far I have come. I came across so many situations that were sent to destroy me but they only made me go harder and I became stronger. I am excited about purchasing my 40 ft long school bus. That will be my biggest accomplishment yet and I cannot wait for that day to come. I think about my school bus every day and how I am going to convert it into an Art Studio for me to host my events and travel the world with.

I am where I am today (business-wise) because I wake up every morning and give at least 1% everyday. Of course there were plenty of times I felt like I did not see results or any progress but I always knew as long as I never gave up and to always at least TRY then one day I will reach my goals. It definitely was not easy getting to where I am today but nothing worth having in live comes easy. If it’s easy, I don’t want it. It took a lot of prayer, hard work, and discipline. Some of the lessons I have learn were to always bet on myself, take the risk, and to keep going no matter what.

I want the world to know that its okay to be different. Whatever is it you want to accomplish in life go for it and give it your all! Don’t focus on the naysayers. Kids Kreate Art Program will make history mark my words! One day at a time, brick-by-brick I’m going to make it happen! Lastly, I want everyone to know that I never gave up even when all odds were against me, I made a way when there was no way.


Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
God deserves all of the credit. Without him I wouldn’t be where I am at today.

Whenever I felt like I wasn’t making any progress he would always send me signs to keep going. I also will like to shout out my close friends and family (they know who they are) who have genuinely supported from day 1.
