Meet Kenja Pharr: Lash Technician, Lash Instructor & Boutique Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kenja Pharr and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kenja, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success is my passion. I feel in order to have a successful business and run a successful business you have to be passionate about it. It has to mean something from within sorta like you gave birth to a child. Most mothers who have give birth experience excitement and overjoy when it comes to their child. Thats the exact same feeling you have to have when it comes to your business that. you build ground up. When building your brand you have to stay consistent, every season you will see improvements on many things in many areas.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the owner of Kandikoatedminks located in Marietta, GA. I started my business my junior year of college I quit my 9=5 and chased my dreams and that was to work in the beauty industry. I knew the beauty industry was for me my personality was fit for it so I quit and walked on faith. I started my business February 3rd 2019. February 3rd is a significant date its then day that my. mom died to stage 4 breast. cancer. My mothers name is “Candy Williams” so this is how I came up with the name Kandikoatedminks. What sets me apart from other is I give a great customer service to every client I meet I try to make it the most comfortable experience while inside my facility. What I am most proud about is that I am 23 taking the proper steps to get me where I need to be. I enjoy watching my growth every season im always finding something that I can improve on. Business wise got where I am today by staying consistent! It definitely was not easy at all sometimes you win sometimes you fail, everything is a learning process and it only prepares you for the better. I overcame some challenges by trying again if something didn’t go the way I wanted to I would look at everything as a whole and see where I went wrong. Lessons I learned along the way was always thank the man above for everything both good and bad. I want the world to know that no matter where your at right now it does not determine your future long as you work hard and stay focused everything you want and desire shall come.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a best friend that was coming into town and I wanted to show her the best time ever I would take her to breakfast places for brunch Del Frisco, Mortons for steaks or New York Prime, We would’ve did some fun things like go to iFly, Andretti, and we would hit some lounges Fins and Feather, Atlantis, Top Golf Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shout out to Eric Thomas. Ive been listening to him for since my sophomore year of high school. We relate in many ways. He keeps me motivated!
