Hi Keneisha, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?

I created KJ’s Lunchbox because I have a passion for food and I love making people happy especially through a meal from KJ’s Lunchbox. I love to see the smiles and happy plates of those who have consumed my food. I love the experience that comes with eating fresh comfort food from KJ’s Lunchbox. Not only do I enjoy cooking I enjoy entertaining people; so one thing to know about KJ’s Lunchbox we strive not only for a happy plate but a happy and satisfying experience.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
One thing that sets me apart from others, is fresh ingredients. I go to the DeKalb Farmers Market in my community every other day to ensure my clients received fresh food when they are having their meals prepared.
I got to where I was and I’m still striving for more by praying and having faith; and remembering to stay focused on the passion and not the paycheck. It definitely hasn’t been easy; I’ve had many obstacles, having to be displaced from my home and unable to cook for a year, but I made it and I came out more creative and hungry.
I’ve learned to be patient and always always invest in YOURSELF!
I want the world to know I love food, I love to create with food and I feel like everyone should have food and experience some of the best food the world has to offer!!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So I’m so black owned supportive it’s crazy. Soo we would get up early and head to breakfast at Breakfast At Barney’s and then maybe hang out in the city around Ponce City Market, maybe head to Bar Vegan or SluttyVegan depending the time. And then maybe a little later after we get well rested maybe head back towards Ponce Market and check out Lucky Lotus for a refreshing açaí bowl. It’s soo many places to eat and get into the Atlanta culture. Soon KJ’s Lunchbox will be one of these go to black owned spots in ATL
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to first thank God, without him none of this would be possible. He is the reason for the talent and the business plan. My parents because without them there would be no me; they support me wholeheartedly and keep me encouraged and I appreciate them for that. My framily, because they are way more the friends; they keep me grounded, they keep me going, always supporting, always pushing me to be my best self and for that I am forever grateful.
