We had the good fortune of connecting with Kendall Davidson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kendall, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thumb process behind starting my own business was leaving a legacy behind. Building something that will outlive me. Creating generational wealth

What should our readers know about your business?
I got to where I am today with my businesses to Sum it up with two words, prayer and hard work. One of the biggest challenges when I started our company was how do I get prime contractors and general contractors to work me as a subcontractor when they already have somebody that they have been using for years or even helped them start that business from the ground up. I answered that question by going to the people that the prime and the general contractor worked for which is federally funded jobs like infrastructure, metropolitan sewer, projects and went to them and asked them “How do I do business with those entities?”
The lessons I’ve learned along the way are: pay your taxes on time, treat your employees the way you wanna be treated and always put God first.
I want the world to know about my brand is that we are a Christian based company with Christian values. We treat everybody the way we want to be treated.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

St. Louis has so much to offer as far as entertainment and restaurants. We have free museums and beautiful parks like Forest Park and Tower Grove park. We’d definitely have to see the Arch, go to a Cardinals game. Be sure to feed them any restaurants in Lafayette Square Park or Soulard. I like the restaurant 1111 Mississippi.
A visit to Soulard market would be very St Louisian. We have lots to do here. Maybe check out a show at City Winery and of course come to church.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give the shout out to my mother may she rest in peace Millstone Weber, Lester Woods, Vivian Martain, and St Louis community Credit who are all very instrumental in my success.
