Meet Kemiko Lawrence | Community builder/Nature lover/Founder/Brewmaster/Yoga Educator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kemiko Lawrence and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kemiko, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
I believe the most important thing I have done is to model for my children how to live and embody the words I speak. EQ (Emotional Quotient) is more important than IQ (Intelligence Quotient). Living your authentic truth will ensure that you will maintain your mental health, which is intimately connected to selfcare.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business organically grew out of my lifelong love affair with wellness and great health. Entrepreneurship is in my DNA. Both my parents, and both sets of grandparents and many in my extended family have been & are business owners. I am grateful to have been able to glean & grow from their experiences. Challenges are part of the process. I learn from them, iterate and continue forward. I want the world to know that we are an authentic brand that believes wholeheartedly in contributing to the greater good of humanity. We provide excellent products and services that help make the world a better place.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love nature, shopping local and supporting other black owned brands. The greater Atlanta area is filled with natural treasures, and awesome businesses. I’d start out with a hike in Sweetwater state park. A wonderful place to nourish your body is on the NW side of town with Chef Deborah VanTrece of Twisted Soul Cookhouse and Pours and her newest location on the Southwest side, Oretha’s. If you are coffee drinker, check out Buzz Coffee & Winehouse, which is right next door. If you want to shop for yourself, you must check out the only autonomous grocery store in the south, check out Nourish & Bloom market in Fayetteville. Head due west down I20 to move your body and ease your mind at Keep It Moving Yoga & Barre shop at Twelve Chic Boutique.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This shoutout is dedicated to my ancestors. Those who came before me and laid the ground and shoulders upon which I stand. The sacrifices of my parents, grandparents, great grandparents and on are the foundation upon which I humbly stand.
