Hi Kelis, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk are necessary evils. You know.. the things you MUST do to be great. I believe that they help you grow, even if you fail at least you took the chance. Risk taking in my life and business have led me to the water… Without “jumping off the porch” I would have still been STILL, wondering “what if”, or “only if I could..” and that’s not how I want to go out… It’s helped in my career tremendously because God always has me. Going into situations with good faith plus work you’ll never go out sad.

Chances make champions

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the owner of a women’s online boutique called, A Vixens Closet. Although its fast fashion AVC takes pride in presenting quality items, and unique pieces, without breaking the bank. In the day’s when the girls were Vixens before “IG Girls” life was much more simple. Getting ready to go out didn’t cost a million dollars, and everyone had their own aesthetic, we have staple pieces as well as well those good quick picks! I’m very proud of our growth in the past year, moving our HQ to Downtown Los Angeles was a major move !
Challenges with business are an everyday thing lol but you just keep going, as cliché as it may sounds its the truth. It’s going to hurt, it’s some days you gave your last to the business but the reward is priceless. I’ve learned a lot of things along the way.. I do everything myself, from building and maintaining my site, shopping for inventory, marketing, shipping, modeling, photography you name it I’ve mastered it. So for whoever is reading this my point is ( for the lessons I’ve learned ) is be as self sufficient as possible it’ll get you far !
I want the world to know about AVC is that we keep the classy yet fun vibes. There’s still girls who love to be outside while maintaining their dignity. Where sexiness and “such a fuc*in lady* combine.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
^_^ Although I’m still new to LA , I think I have it figured out in terms of the vibes. Well first off if it’s MY best friend they’re shopping with me or have so boom sis is ready ok ! But as for the additions we are heading straight to Rodeo drive. Shoes match the purse ! So she’s getting experience and drip. Next we would head over to Nobu in Malibu to enjoy some drinks with the ocean waves as out soundtrack. That’s a during the day Vibe.

We are into self care and keeping the body happy, so a hike early Sunday morning is defiantly on the menu. California has beautiful landscapes, and its good for mental health to get fresh air, vitamin D, and conquer a mountain !

I love museums and art so if friend is into that we can make that happen, or if sis wants to pop some bottles and give main character energy we can start at Tao on any night and let the wind blow us to Litville

And lastly, the beach.. I’m down for the beach over all of that any day, any time. God is so good, life is beautiful.

I want to dedicate this to my ancestors, I am putting in the work, and making the sacrifices to move our blood to the next level. I am dedicated to making true progress, and I feel the love around me. I love you..
