We had the good fortune of connecting with Keith Wainwright and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Keith, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Well, it started off by helping friends in college put their TV’s on the wall and it kind of became a thing around the city. At the time I was doing TV’s for free to help. Wouldnt say at the time I was a professional, but I definitely had the skills/qualities from my grandfather at an early age. So utilizing tools was second nature for me. With all that being said, creating a business for something I was already doing was a no brainer!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Well I graduated as a Mechanical Engineer and got my masters in systems engineer. During that time I was always an athlete (Football). Engineering was never my desire but by the time I realized it , I was to late in my college degree to turn back. However I am glad I didnt because I ended up working for major companies such as NASA, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman. During that time I had the opportunity to play football for several arena leagues such as Rivals Professional Football League (RPFL), Spring League, and the Fan Control Football League (FCF). Was it easy? No, not by any chance but to be honest my kids and my dad instilling hard work was my driving factor to keep going. Lessons I have learned? That to never give up on your dreams and put God first in everything you do, and always stick to what you believe despite the outcome.

I have another business called Above the Radar or (ATR) IG: ATR_clothing and we represent being “above average” where we mentor and train young athletes to become better mentally and physically through hard work.

Additionally, K&B mounting services is steadily growing and we would love to do work with you!!!!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well first we would go to a happy hour spot such as J. R. Alexanders or BJs because they have great drinks and usually a great price.

Then depending on the night or the time of the week. We can possibly go to Top Golf, and/or then maybe the pool hall.

Then later go Club Envy, Club 47, or 3000 Bar.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First I would like to give a shoutout to God. My Wife, Deneishia Wainwright & my mother Dawn Thompson, in addition to my dedicated colleagues (Rodriques Threatt & Xavier Jones) they have supported me through the start of this whole process and where we are. Currently the #1 TV Mounting Service in north Alabama and the Tennessee Valley!
