Meet Ke’Andra | The Earthy Songbird

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ke’Andra and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ke’Andra, why did you pursue a creative career?
Because that’s what I’m most passionate about. Making music and writing songs have been my favorite way of expressing my feelings and giving the world a glimpse of who I am.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a singer and songwriter who started singing in open mics prior to singing professionally. I’ve always been a singer in church and am inspired by a range of different genres. It’s been a long and ongoing journey that I’m happy about. Some of the challenges along the way were believing that it was actually possible and learning to not compare my progress to anyone else’s. I want the world to know that consistency and desire for excellence are powerful investments to your future.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In Charlotte, my favorite spot it Oh My Soul!, a vegan restaurant. They have good meals that accommodate my dietary restrictions.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shout out is dedicated to my musical community who i consider to be my “tribe”. My music community has played a role in my growth as an artist and confidence in performing.
