Meet Kathryn Carroll | Digital Creator | Finding Beauty in Every Season

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kathryn Carroll and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kathryn, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m originally from Dallas, Texas, and I was raised in an environment that emphasized manners, respect, and the value of personal growth. My parents made sure I understood the importance of good etiquette, so I even attended etiquette school, which shaped how I interact with people today. From a young age, I was encouraged to explore the world beyond my comfort zone, which led me to study abroad during my final year of high school.
Living in Chantilly, France, was a pivotal experience. Immersing myself in a new culture, learning French, and navigating life in a completely different environment sparked my deep passion for travel, languages, and culture. It also introduced me to the world of fashion, which I came to love and appreciate for its creativity and history. This experience laid the foundation for a lifelong curiosity about the world and influenced many of my choices since. It also gave me a global perspective, allowing me to see the interconnectedness of cultures and people, which continues to shape who I am and how I engage with the world.

My Journey: A Passion for Fashion, Travel, and Creative Expression through the Seasons
I’m incredibly proud to have turned my creative vision into reality with the launch of my website, KathrynCarroll.com! This has been a long-time dream, and I couldn’t have done it without the amazing designer Emily Wells of EmilyWellsDesign.com. Through brand design and art direction, Emily creates sophisticated, approachable brand identities across all platforms. We worked closely every step of the way, helping bring my ideas to life with her talent and attention to detail. Her dedication and creativity were essential in creating a site that truly reflected my brand and the journey I’m on. I’m beyond grateful for her partnership in making this vision come to life!
When I launched my website KathrynCarroll.com, my goal was simple: create a space to immerse my audience in the annual seasons to discover fresh luxuries in fashion, travel, and interiors. I believe there is much inspiration to be found in the way the colors, textures, tones, and fragrances evolve throughout the year to guide the way we dress, travel, and design. I wanted to channel that love into something that could provide both aesthetic value and meaningful connections and help inspire others.
At the heart of my business is a commitment to timeless style, grounded in both my Texas roots and my global experiences. I’ve always believed that the way we present ourselves can tell a story—and the way we experience the world shapes how we approach design, fashion, and life itself. From growing up in Dallas, Texas, to living in Chantilly, France, and traveling to countless places along the way, each experience has played a part in shaping my perspective and, ultimately, my creative journey.
Through my website (KathrynCarroll.com) and my Instagram account (@thekathryncarroll), I offer little luxury moments that immerse my community in seasonal living by curating outfit inspiration, travel guides, and interior design inspiration. I’m completely enchanted by the seasons and find so much beauty in how the colors, textures, and tones of nature evolve throughout the year. So much so that I try and use as much natural texture and tone in my home, to mirror nature and blur the lines between indoors and out.

What You Should Take Away from My Business
1. The Importance of Personal Style: I truly believe that fashion is a powerful form of self-expression. Whether it’s through a bold outfit or a more subtle look, the way we dress can communicate who we are, our values, and our experiences. I opt for elegant staples over fast fashion. You can expect to see botanicals, florals, and linens in Spring and Summer. Whereas in Autumn and Winter, deep earthy tones, and heavier wools and cashmere come out to play. Every season I spend time curating signature scents for my home that embody the unique aroma of the season, and I truly believe that when your home is seasonally fragranced, it infuses a renewed confidence into our days.
2. The Power of Cultural Exploration: Travel has had a profound impact on my work, both personally and professionally. Living abroad in France and Hungary, for example, not only shaped my understanding of fashion but also sparked a deeper interest in cultures and languages. At KathrynCarroll.com, I encourage everyone to embrace the beauty of cultural exploration—whether it’s through fashion, travel, or simply learning something new about the world.
3. Collaboration is Key: I’m a huge believer in the value of collaboration. In fact, one of the reasons I love what I do is because it allows me to have the opportunity to work with brands to bring ideas to life and to create “little luxury moments”.
4. Timeless Elegance: The world of design and fashion is always evolving, but I firmly believe that timeless elegance will always hold its place. I combine classic design elements that are not only chic but also enduring and versatile. I aim to offer advice and inspiration that stand the test of time, while still being fresh and relevant, and above all else – align seamlessly with the four seasons.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting Atlanta, I would definitely show them the Buckhead and Vining neighborhoods both with a buzzing food and shopping scene. Here’s an itinerary for a weekend trip full of unique experiences and fun moments!
If my best friend were visiting for a quick weekend trip to **Buckhead, Georgia**, I’d plan an itinerary packed with luxury, relaxation, and a taste of Atlanta’s vibrant culture. Here’s how we’d make the most of a short stay in this chic neighborhood:
Day 1:
– Breakfast at The Chastain — We’d start our weekend with a sophisticated yet laid-back breakfast at The Chastain. Nestled in a beautiful setting, this Buckhead gem offers everything from fresh pastries to hearty breakfast bowls. The relaxed ambiance, paired with their delicious dishes, makes it a perfect spot to begin our day.
– Stroll through the Atlanta Botanical Garden — After breakfast, we’d head to Atlanta Botanical Garden. My favorite place to visit in the city and, fun fact – I volunteer every month at the Gardens to support their Children’s Program. This peaceful, lush garden is ideal for a relaxing walk. Whether we’re admiring the seasonal flowers or taking in the stunning orchid collection, it’s a great introduction to the beauty of the area.
– Lunch at Houston’s — For lunch, we’d head to Houston’s, a Buckhead classic. Their pan-seared Ahi Tuna Salad is truly to die for—fresh, perfectly seared tuna served over a bed of greens with a light, tangy dressing. It’s a dish I can never get enough of, and the laid-back atmosphere makes it an easy place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal.
– Explore the Shops at Buckhead Atlanta — After lunch, we’d visit The Shops at Buckhead Atlanta, a luxury shopping district with high-end stores like Chanel, Dior, and Gucci. We’d take our time browsing and maybe even treat ourselves to a little something special. Of course, we can’t forget to swing by Restoration Hardware for some home design inspiration.
– Dinner at The Garden Room — For a unique and unforgettable dining experience, we’d have dinner and drinks at The Garden Room. Known for its enchanting décor, featuring lush greenery and floral arrangements, this spot feels like stepping into a secret garden. The menu is just as magical, with creative, beautifully presented dishes and a whimsical, yet elegant atmosphere.
