We had the good fortune of connecting with Karley Millender-Morris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Karley, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
One affirmation that I continuously repeat to myself is, “Nothing is Impossible”. Anything you want to achieve in life can be done. It’s never too late and although it may seem hard or difficult, it’s not impossible.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Karmil Studios is an art and design studio that specializes in a variety of mediums. Graphic design, logo design and branding, illustration, web design and creation, user interface design, marketing, photography, and videography are just a few of the services available.

Nothing is guaranteed in existence without some kind of stumbling block. This has not been an easy road for me, but I am determined to overcome my obstacles and create the empire that I have always envisioned. There is no development without failure.

As a business, my proudest achievement is leaving a familiar city and rebuilding in a new one. It’s been an incredible ride, and I wouldn’t change a thing. Every project, whether client- or self-initiated, is something I strive to be personally associated with. As a designer, you should be open to new experiences, and I often travel and explore new sources to get the inspiration I need. I am dedicated to bringing my clients’ visions to life. Individuals are brought joy by art and design.

It is up to you to define success. And if you’ve had a terrible mistake, you must see the positive aspects of it. The terms “success” and “failure” are almost interchangeable. Don’t give up on yourself just because you hit a snag; we make our opportunities. Take what you’ve learned and keep going. My ability to persevere and complete all of the goals I set for myself defines my success.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m still pretty new to the area and haven’t been able to explore the city as I would want especially once the pandemic hit and shut everything down. I love the arts, history, nature, and so much more. So for my list of things I would like to do goes like this: World of Coca-Cola, Georgia Aquarium, Center for Civil and Human Rights, Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park, Atlanta History Center, Braves stadium, Centennial Olympic Park, Stone Mountain, Atlanta Botanical Garden, and the list goes on. When it comes to food Atlanta has so much to offer, I could choose from no one. If you visit this city try to experience all that you can, I know that’s my plan.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
During my journey, I’ve had help from so many individuals along the way that there is no one person that I could single out. I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my husband, parents, family, teachers, friends, mentors, and all who encouraged, inspired, pushed, and helped me along the way. Without any of those individuals, I wouldn’t be where I am and I’m thankful for all that they’ve done.
