Meet Kara: Florist & Herbalist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kara and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kara, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
My business has taught me that I am capable of much more than I thought, that I am a person who never gives up and that as long as I do this I will keep growing and learning and becoming better. I started out focusing on quality, brand, image, then focused more on profitability, growth, marketing, now currently am focused on employee training and development, being a strong, focused leader and growing an amazing team.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am most proud of and excited about the growth my company continues to take, despite hard times. We have grown and molded as a team to all kinds of issues including 9/11 and now a global pandemic. I am also very proud of how well received our flowers and customer service are in our communities. We are very blessed to be able to do what we do and bring joy to so many people.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We have so many great restaurants in the Atlanta area. I would definitely start there. Maybe somewhere in the Marietta Square, or Ponce City Market, followed by a walk in the area.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to recognize my stepfather. He was an entrepreneur, as well, and growing up I saw all the hard work, late nights and passion that he put into owning and running a business. He has a soft heart, but is very hard working and determined in business.
