Meet Kanti Kasa | Singer/Rapper, DeeJay, Radio Hostess, Model, Actress

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kanti Kasa and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kanti, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I’ve always been a creative, it almost feels like destiny you know? I was very introverted when I was younger but always found it easy to express myself through piano, poetry, and singing. Even my indigenous name is a meaning of art, Kanti Kasa meaning one who sings and dances in furs. People around the world can sometimes be so violent, and while my mother got me into different Martial Arts schools for discipline and defense, Sun Tzu and my sensei’s have taught me that expression is the most important thing, and extremely healthy for your body as a whole, in which I do all the time through my music.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I think what really sets me apart from a lot of other musical artists is that I’m literately capable of doing almost anything. I’ve always been one to explore my options and get into scenes that may involve an entire crew, flashing my many hats to show that I am highly capable of being in any seat, and honestly I blame that on homeschool, thank you mom. A lot of artist claim they have multiple hats but not many have the drive to put them on when it’s necessary, unlike me who actually claim the necessary chair and wear the proper hat whenever I want to. I own all my music, majority of the beats I’ve made, and I’ve got a good ear for sound.

How I got myself here was a rollercoaster, nothing that leads to success is ever easy. I’ve jumped through so many hurtles without falling down the path of corruption, been offered some crazy deals that I’ve refused, been abandoned by old friends and family, it’s been crazy.. but I think that all of this drove me. That constant denial, refusal, and hard judgement pushed me to work harder on my craft and myself. That and I have the most honest family in the world, literately Simon honesty, they won’t beat me down but they’ll let me know if my stuff stinks, and that’s helpful in itself, I love that about them.

There has been so many lessons, like FAR too many, honestly have a listen to my music I’ve included a lot of what I’ve learned inside of it. I’ve always thought that I had a message to share to my generation, the ones above and under, and I honestly feel the same way today.

I want the world to see my journey and join me, I want everyone on this beautiful rock, aqua, and plant life to know, see, seek, and breathe Kanti Kasa, for I am a breath of fresh air, and not even trying to toot my own horn.. but I am what the industry needs.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Anybody who knows me know that I love the simple things in life, yeah luxury is beautiful and all and I KNOW for a fact this is a material world, but hiking, camping, swimming, bonfires is where my heart is. I’ve had family and friends come around and wanted to do nothing but swim with them! Unfortunately some of the friends I have don’t know how to do that. Have you ever been to a Trampoline Jumping park? It was super fun, honestly, any activity that involves exercise and fresh air is my favorite, heck, lets go bike riding.

I’ve ran into a lot of bumps in the road, as everyone does while working their way up, but my mom and dad has never left my side, even taking some time within their schedule to help push, place, and guide me to where I need to be.
