Hi KaNeesha, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“God is bigger than any obstacle” This quote resonates with me because often we get flustered by the things life throws at us ! I’ve learned that God is bigger and If you put your trust in him & actually trust him your blessings will still outweigh the obstacles. Thinking positive through a tough time, will guide you to still prosper in the midst of a storm.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d lovefor our community to learn more about your work.
My business is Braided By K, LLC. I am a hair braider located in Atlanta, mostly McDonough, GA. I believe what sets me apart from others is my heart and my passion for braiding. I literally breathe braiding, besides God it’s my go to for release and peace. Every strand/braid has love poured into it and I feel my clients know that as well. Without God nothing is possible ! My business is becoming a success right before my eyes because I’m trusting Gods plan for my life and obeying his simple instructions. My support system is amazing, I couldn’t do half of what I do without them. There are good and bad days but my good days always outweigh the bad. I believe that even during the obstacles you have to keep pushing, giving up is not an option. I want to push Braided By K to its fullest potential. I want the world to know that even when you fall, you can get back up and overcome any obstacle placed in front of you. Your work ethic will always set you apart from anyone as long as your willing to put the time in.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Anything Brunch, lol I love a mimosa. If Covid-19 wasn’t present, downtown is my favorite area to be. Cenntinnetal Park is one of my absolute favorites on a nice day, as well as the belt line !

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
This is dedicated to my Mother Gwendolyn Crosby and my children Abrielle and Kyree. Without my mother’s prayers, guidance, wisdom and presence in my life I wouldn’t be where I am today. God and my mother are the pillar of my success, I give them the ultimate praise. My kids are my motivation. Everything I pour into my business is for them. Last but not least my support system for continuously pushing me to greatness. Never letting me settle for mediocrity. My prayer warriors are irreplaceable they keep me on my toes.
